"Very poor experience. No staff, rooms worn out, breakfast due to layout of food, coffee machine became something you best not bother with. Drinks prices at the bar dependant on who served you. Evening dinner, one choice and this menu not available until 5.30pm . We booked here with friends for a 3 day event and will be back in Laon next year but definitely not this hotel."

"Stayed for 1 night on the way to Burgundy. It is an old hotel and our bedroom on the first floor was quite large, well appointed. Unfortunately the mattress had seen better days and, for someone with back issues needing a firm bed, it was a bit like sleeping on a hillside. We were able to park in the small garage which takes only 4 cars but you have to be very careful entering and leaving. We had a buffet breakfast which was plentiful , good choice and lovely fresh bread and pastries. The owner and staff were very helpful and friendly. There are several eating places in the town within a reasonable walking distance. Despite the bed issue we would be happy to stay here again."

Two hours from the Calais coast, this medieval town is a convenient overnight stop on journeys south. But it deserves to be a destination in its own right, and not just in transit."

"Very disappointed. Rooms average, toilet seat broken. Light switch to bathroom temperamental. Booked as a 3 night stay as part of a car rally, booked table in resturant -- no table reserved. Very chaotic only one choice for evening meal. Chicken and rice, bar expensive for drinks. Room key kept failing, had to keep going to reception. Staff inexperienced. Breakfast chaotic with big queues, drinks machine inconveniently located. Will definitely not stay there again."
