"My husband and I enjoyed a lovely two-night stay at this hotel in Latacunga. The hotel was modern, clean and comfortable. The location was central and easy walking distance to restaurants and the main square. Staff were welcoming and the breakfast was delicious. I would stay here again!"

"~ Convenient location in the historic center. We accidentally discovered that the secure parking 50 meters from the hotel was free for those staying at the Golden Rest, from 6 pm to 9 am. ~ Cold rooms. Very small bed, the two of us had trouble sleeping. The shower had lukewarm water, not hot, and the owner forgot to explain how to turn on the hot water. Furthermore, for two days we had a musty smell in the bathroom because the mat was soaked with leaking shower water, and they didn't change our towels or make our bed. They didn't even change the bin where used toilet paper is disposed of, so for two days we had the bin full of dirty paper. ~ Very simple breakfast with scrambled eggs, cheese, coffee, and bread. ~ Simple dinners with rice and chicken. ~ Nice structure, but run-down, for example, there was no way to turn on or activate the lights in the hallways, so we "played" "put the key in the lock" for two nights. ~ If you're really on a budget it's fine, but if you're looking for something more comfortable I wouldn't recommend it."
