"Hotel looks tired and run down. Room was cold.. Heating would only blow cold. Staff, very few & far between and not particularly friendly, bordering on rude. Food in the restaurant is atrocious, so bad! Curry was frozen in the middle. Chicken goujons slimy and undercooked. Put us off, so didn't bother with breakfast. And the icing on the cake, car parking! What a rip off!"

"Very clean and presentable, great value for money. All the amenities necessary to make our stay comfortable.Not really sure why it has such a low rating I can only think the previous reviews caught it on a really bad day. No complaints at all."

"This hotel is in a fabulous position close to the centre of Leek with parking close by. It is a beautiful building and the hosts are wonderful, welcoming and couldn't be more helpful. The bar is small, quirky and has a good selection of drinks with a little hatch to serve customers in the garden. Our room was on the top floor with lots of stairs, so not for anyone with mobility issues. The building is very old and the floors are wonky which would add a little charm but kind of accentuates how tired the room was. Big enough, comfy bed and a working shower it could just do with an upgrade. Overall would we stay again, yes. The hotel is spotlessly clean and you have most of what you need it's just not as polished as most people would expect today."
