Premier Inn Lichfield City Centre ★★★

"I recently stayed at Premier Inn Lichfield, and unfortunately it was one of the worst hotel experiences I've had. The biggest issue was the bathroom. While using the bath, it leaked badly and flooded the entire bathroom, with water spreading into part of the bedroom. I reported it to a member of staff, but was told the hotel was fully booked, so they couldn't move us to another room. The only solution offered was a pile of towels to mop up the flood ourselves. A staff member returned about five minutes later with the towels, handed them to us, and left. There was no offer of assistance or apology for the inconvenience, which was extremely disappointing. To make matters worse, we had purchased the meal deal, which turned out to be very poor value for money. When we arrived at the restaurant for dinner, we were informed that they were introducing a new menu the following week and that most of the items on the current menu were no longer available. This left us with very limited choices despite having already paid for the meal deal. Overall, the lack of customer service and poor handling of these issues made for a very unpleasant stay. I expected much better from Premier Inn, but this experience has completely put me off staying with them again. I certainly won't be returning and cannot recommend this hotel based on my experience."

"What a lovely guest house! Very comfortable rooms with everything you need. Malcom is an excellent host & nothing is too much trouble. He cooks an excellent breakfast & has lots of options to choose from. The guest house is located next to a main road but you really don’t hear it from the bedrooms. We really enjoyed our stay & would definitely return if we were in the area again. Thank you Malcolm!"
