The breakfast is a bit expensive for the choices offered."

"We took a 34-day self-driving tour from Beijing, China to Europe, and visited France, Italy, and Switzerland. We checked into this hotel on December 4th and met UALENDWA (Chinese name Xiaomei) who left a deep and good impression on us. We were pleasantly surprised by her fluent Chinese and sweet smile. When our power socket broke down, she was very proactive and responsible in solving the problem for us, which really touched us. This hotel is ideally located in the heart of a busy commercial street. It was the Christmas season at the end of the year, and the whole street was decorated with lights and was very lively. It is indeed the best choice for travelers. We are glad we made this choice. I wish the hotel a prosperous business! I wish Xiaomei all the best and may all her wishes come true!"

Spotless, polished, and so well maintained they could pass for brand new. The food is delicious. If we had to point out one, it would be this: with great luxury comes a certain kind of guest. This is the sort of place where fellow guests don’t so much greet you as assess you. A raised brow here, a barely perceptible glance there – one feels not unwelcome, but rather under review. Still, it’s all part of the charm. If you’ve ever wanted to star in your own episode of “The Tastefully Dressed Stranger Who May or May Not Belong Here,” this is your stage. In short: Castello del Sole is exceptional. A haven of taste, peace, and unspoken expectations."

"They provide free parking and the hotel is sitting on the lake shore and that's about it on the positive side. Oh, and they give you a nice pen. The hotel is small, no elevator, with such narrow stairways that one person with a suitcase can barely make it upstairs. The room is small, doesn't even have enough space for a desk or a table so using your laptop is extremely inconvenient. We had a view of the railroad though it was of no disturbance at night. A small fancy bathroom has a sliding glass door with weird green camouflage so there's very little privacy. No amenities of any sort: no pool, no spa, no sauna, no nothing. We didn't try their restaurant even though the reviews were good so no idea what their breakfast, lunch or dinner was. If you have a car you have to drive straight the end of the street past the "limited entry" sign, turn left, and then left again on an unpaved path which brings you to the back of the hotel where the parking is located. But you would be better off staying elsewhere."
