"This was a truly terrible experience, awful in every way. We booked two family rooms, which cost over a thousand [currency unit]. In the middle of the night, the AC stopped cooling, and all four kids in our two families were so hot they couldn't sleep. We had to open our room doors and walk into the hallway just to feel a bit of coolness. It was 00:41 AM, and it was so bad. We didn't dare try to switch hotels at that point, but we honestly wanted to. I've stayed at four or five of the Baisheng hotels in Xiamen, and they've all been great. But this one in Longyan? It was worse than a motel. It feels like the hotel was trying to save on electricity by turning off the central air conditioning. Honestly, it's just bizarre and ridiculous."
