"Stayed for a week with a group for painting holiday. The rooms are so beautiful, spacious, clean and equipped with modern amenities. Gorgeous garden filled with blooming flowers and i was occationally greeted by a texudo cat and a boy poodle. My room was quiet with a great view to the outer circle of the walled hill town. Bed was very comfortable. On top of all this, food and cafe from the bistro just right outside the gate was so good that I spent every morning having breakfast there. Highly recommend you stay with cassero."

"A group of us went on a nine-day plein air painting trip. Il Cassero is a treasure. It is a family home dating back to the seventeenth century with spacious well-appointed apartments in the heart of the town. Apartments have unique features like fireplaces and original wooden beamed ceilings. Grounds include a beautiful garden and family chapel where guests can share wine, or paint!~. Situated in a beautiful little town of Lucignano, remarkably free of the tourist hordes. Extraordinary views from this hilltop town. A painter's paradise. Several good restaurants! Definitely plan to return!"
