Hanah Mountain Resort and Country Club

"My wife and I have stayed at Hanah Mountain Resort & Country Club at least 3 or 4 times over the last dozen years or so, when we visit our good friends who live in Margaretville. I never write reviews, but had to submit this one after our recent stay over the recent Columbus Day holiday weekend (I was tempted to write a similar review after our stay there two years ago). Made an on-line reservation on their website about 8 days before our visit, and received confirmation for a 3-night weekend stay. About 6 hours later I get a phone call from Hanah and was informed they had a 'computer glitch’, and the first two nights were actually sold out and unavailable due to a huge wedding being held there. I was disappointed, but kept the Sunday night reservation, and searched and made reservations elsewhere for Fri and Sat night (at the Andes Hotel which I highly recommend, and stayed there several times before). I get another Hanah call several hours later and got the same notice from another person there, and responded: 'Yes, I was already notified of that by the first person that called me earlier'. I get another Hanah call about 2 days before our travel date saying they had a cancelation, so I could stay for the 3 nights that I originally made, but I kept the Andes reservation for Fri/Sat due to the short notice and Andes’ cancellation policy. We were able to check-into Hanah about noon on Sunday, even though we knew the normal check-in time was 3:00 pm. Did the paper work, tried to get a room on the 2nd floor but was told 'that would cost extra', so we stuck with a 1st floor ‘standard room’. We were then told we couldn't get our room key until 3:00 (although the entire resort looked completely vacant). We left our friend’s party at 3:00 so we could pickup the room key and return to the party for the rest of the day/evening. As in previous stays, the grounds and maintenance of this ‘resort’ could be much better. After negotiating (the same) major potholes in the parking lot, we made our way to our room using the main walkway which was a complete mud puddle, so we had to cut through the weeds and shrubs (we experienced the same mess in previous visits). Seems this is something that can be quickly or at least partially fixed with some crushed stone. We dropped off our luggage and returned to our friend’s party. We returned to Hanah about 7:00 (Sunday night, holiday weekend). The place was a complete ghost town. Bar and restaurant closed. Found that the room’s TV/cable wasn't working and the TV couldn’t have been much more than 24”. There was no maintenance staff on call, but we were able to receive a key for an adjacent room so my wife could watch the football game. In the morning, I realized there wasn't one other guest in the whole lodge. The room had enough coffee for a total of two small cups. No hot water (lukewarm at most), so no shower. Dom jest ciepły, przytulny, wygodny i ma wszystko, czego można potrzebować na piękny wycieczkę nie za daleko od miasta. Hosts były bardzo komunikacyjne i zakwaterowania. Wszystko poszło gładko i łatwo. Dosłownie czułem się co minutę mojego czasu w River Run. 10/10 bardzo zalecam!"
