"The room was spacious, making it easy to open large suitcases. There's a big public bath and a laundry room, and breakfast was good. The room was quiet and peaceful. The hotel is right across from the station; you just take the pedestrian bridge down and you're there. If you have luggage, though, you'll need to take the elevator on the left side of the bridge down to street level, cross the zebra crossing, and then you're at the hotel. We visited in March when the plum blossoms were in full bloom. You can walk from the hotel through the station to Kairakuen Garden and then take the train back."

"Richmond Hotels are known for providing basic amenities such as fluffy bath towels and clean facilities everywhere. This time I stayed here to go to Kairakuen in Mito. The location is very good for sightseeing in Kairakuen. There are frequent buses from Mito Station to Daikumachi Station, which is right in front of the hotel, so it is much more convenient than a hotel that is only halfway from the station. The West Hills Mito has a completely separate bathroom and toilet (twin room), which was also highly rated for its convenience. The breakfast was also delicious."

"This hotel is frequented by locals, mostly business travelers, resulting in a high occupancy rate. Parking is also very convenient for those driving, as it's free. The rooms are spacious, the beds are comfortable, and the blankets are warm. If you need more, there are blankets available. There are power outlets on the desk, bedside table, and side table, and a 3-way charging cable is thoughtfully provided in the drawer. The complimentary breakfast selection is simple yet delicious and offers variety; eating it for two days provides a pleasant change. High value for money, recommended."

"This time I stayed at Daikumachi for a drinking party with friends. I've stayed here a few times and it's always been great. Unfortunately I couldn't take a bath this time, but the breakfast was delicious and I ate a lot. Thank you. This is one of the inns I'd like to stay at again if I have the opportunity."

"We checked in in August 2025. When booking, there were no "non-smoking" rooms available, so we booked a "smoking" room. The room smelled awful, the lighting was terribly dim, and apart from the toilet, the entire room reeked of smoke. When we asked the front desk if they could help us change rooms, they said there were no other non-smoking rooms available. We had booked two nights, and they wouldn't let us check out or get a refund for the second night. The hotel's handling of the situation was very passive. For us non-smokers, staying in such a room was torture. My son had a headache and slept with a mask on, while I felt nauseous all night. We checked out as soon as it was light the next morning and moved out of that awful room. Why are smoking allowed in hotel rooms? It's unbelievable! Aren't they afraid of causing a fire? I advise non-smokers: even if you can't book a "non-smoking" room, don't force yourself to stay in a "smoking" room."
