"The "Brouwrup" is best known among my golf colleagues, but I was unfortunately not yet. A prolonged golf weekend took place and we spent two nights in the hotel. The rooms are very spacious (one room), the wet cell modern and the location optimum, quiet and central. The restaurant offers a good choice and also the partner hotel Heitzmann. High hospitality and above all service (have left something in the room after departure). Very recommended!"

"I stayed there during a motorcycle tour. My room was large and clean. dinner in the beer garden, very good Burger. The motorcycle was allowed to go to the garage over the night. All staff were very friendly."

"We loved the four nights we spent here - having an apartment suite. It was clean, warm and very comfortable - very well equipped for our needs. We enjoyed the homemade jam! The views overlooking the valley were stunning (the main road nearby is busy but unobtrusive) and it is completely dark at night; the stars are spectacular. We took advantage of the basement clothes washing facilities, as well as the generous and well-priced honesty bar. And the morning bread delivery was a fun and tasty bonus on our last day. Great selection of baked goods there. Location-wise, it is no more than 10 minutes into Mittersill by car, and a short drive from the Krimml Waterfall, the Grossglockner, and the Kitzsteinhorn. Probably loads of ski-related activities if you like that kind of thing! Our hosts were exceptionally friendly and on hand to answer any questions or offer suggestions. We felt very relaxed here, and I would very highly recommend this for your Alpine holiday."

"My family and I had a magical 4 night stay at Schloss Mittersill over Christmas. We loved our experience and we did not want to leave. The castle is absolutely beautiful with breathtaking 360 degree views. There are so many fun passageways and fun places to explore. It is almost maze-like inside so you can have fun just walking around. The staff was amazing, especially Daniel. They were helpful, respectful and worked very hard to provide a wonderful experience for guests. I was impressed with the cleanliness of the entire castle, not a dust bunny to be found! We had two adjoining rooms with our 3 children which was perfect for family time while having some privacy. Each room had a balcony and lots of great big windows to take in the view of the mountains and the valley below. One of the highlights was the food! The 5 course dinner was exceptional every night. My husband is not easily impressed with higher-end restaurants and he could not stop raving about the food. The chef is very talented and created beautiful and creative dishes. At dinner we also appreciated that there was a child's menu and a la carte options if desired. Additionally, there were reasonably priced bottles of wine to add to dinner. For day time activities we highly recommend heading to nearby Bramberg am Wildkogel for Tobogganing. It was an unforgettable family experience. Also, if you are a skier you have to spend a couple days at Kitzbuel. The castle provides transportation to and from the gondola at Kitzbuel which was very helpful. The only negative was that the castle is a bit short staffed. This meant that one of the nights (Christmas Eve) dinner service was very slow. The food was excellent but it took a long time to get food. Service the other 3 nights was much better and we got to eat in the "Glass House", which we loved. For breakfast the staff also seemed a bit overwhelmed. I hope that management can solve this problem because the people, food, location and everything else is so wonderful and charming. Also, keep in mind that you are in a building that is almost 900 years old. So, the water pressure isn't great but that was a very minor inconvenience for us."
