"The hotel staff were almost all middle-aged or elderly Black women, who were not very friendly and had poor attitudes. The hotel breakfast only offered drinks and cakes; even basic milk and bread were not provided. The rooms were poorly soundproofed; noises from upstairs and next door could be clearly heard. The hotel's exterior and surroundings were okay, and parking was free."

"Really enjoyed my stay! Located in a beautiful neighborhood and a short drive to downtown Charleston. My room was a King balcony which was nice to sit in a rocking chair and read. Hotel manager and staff were super friendly and accommodating. Rooms were impeccable and bed was super comfy. I will say that the walls are very thin and I could hear the people in the room next to me loud and clear. Not a reason to not stay here, but to be aware if you’re a light sleeper. There is a sound machine in the room so that helped. My room also had a small fridge & microwave for convenience. I would stay here again during my next stay in Charleston!"
