The standard room with a 1.3-meter double bed is quite small, especially the bathroom, which is even smaller than those at Toyoko Inn. The facilities are a bit old, but the free natural hot spring (available from 3:00 PM to 9:00 AM) is a definite highlight. I visited during the Emperor's Birthday long weekend, so prices were higher than usual and rooms were scarce. When I went for a hot spring bath around 9:00 PM, I even had to queue to shower. Many locals also choose this hotel."

"Exit 4 of Hisaya-Odori Station on the subway is the closest, but there are no escalators or elevators to ground level, so it might be difficult with heavy luggage. I stayed here because I had a live show at the Aichi Prefectural Arts Theater. It's within walking distance, and there's an underground shopping mall (Central Park) across from Exits 3 and 4 (Otsu-dori) on Hisaya-Odori, which connects to Sakae Station and has a variety of shops, so it's safe even in the rain. Nagoya Castle is also within walking distance, so the location was excellent. My single, non-smoking room was fully equipped (desk, chair, kettle, folding mirror, desk lamp, etc.). There was an outlet by the bedside, and the room light could be turned on and off with a remote control. There was also a standby light, so even those who don't like complete darkness would have no problem. Welcome drinks were available until late at night, and I didn't use the kettle in the room. There were several types of tea and three types of soup. Since it's Nagoya, breakfast isn't necessary. For 800 yen, it was pretty reasonable. There were four types of bread: the salted butter roll and croissant, which were the same for both days, but the other two were different. The boiled rice* was delicious, with a nice salty flavor and a soft yolk. The curry was filling and packed with vegetables. All the staff were very nice, and overall I would recommend this hotel."

The staff were polite and helpful, and the check-in process was smooth. The hotel also felt quiet and safe at night, which made the stay more comfortable. Overall, it is a good value hotel with a great location in Nagoya. I would recommend it for travelers who want a clean and convenient place to stay in the Sakae area."

"I had a great stay at the Conrad Nagoya on August 8, 2026, just a week after it opened. I had booked the standard King Deluxe (50 sqm), but upon check-in was graciously upgraded to King Deluxe Corner Suite (approx. 95 sqm), perhaps in recognition of Hilton Diamond status and the fact that we were celebrating a wedding anniversary. The staff member who checked us in (Shin) was very accommodating and efficient - exactly the kind of person you want to meet when you arrive after your travels. I should also note that Mr. Kozo, who showed us to the room, also gave an excellent impression. In addition to having ample knowledge of the local area, he commanded a calming and dignified presence that elevated the presentation of our room. The executive lounge had a bright and airy feel, and lovely unobstructed views of Nagoya Station and the surrounding areas from the 40th floor. The staff operating the lounge were very welcoming, and also assisted me with a taxi reservation for later that night. During the afternoon tea service, there was a selection of items that I assume are a subset of those available during the full afternoon tea service available in the lobby lounge. My companion found the sandwich items to fall somewhat short of her expectations in terms of flavor. During the cocktail service, which ran from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., a number of hot items were available, in addition to cheeses, cold meats and other items. These were quite delicious. Wine, spirits, beer and other drinks were also available for self-serve. While in the lounge we were approached by Ari, one of the staff I believe was dispatched from Hilton corporate to facilitate the launch of the hotel, and he was a delightfully attentive and charismatic person who was eager to ensure that our stay was perfect. I think he really epitomizes the top tier of the Hilton/Conrad brand. I also very much appreciated the hotel's General Manager for being a constantly visible presence during the breakfast service, and for expressing interest in our stay and how to further polish the experience. The main breakfast in the restaurant on the lobby floor was to the typical high standards of Conrad. In addition to the buffet, a number of items were available on a n a la carte basis, including some local specialties. Perhaps because we visited at a peak period (around 9 a.m.), these individual items took longer than expected to be delivered to our table, but the overall quality was excellent. Overall I really liked the room and its fixtures. Excellent shower and sink pressure, well thought out decor, incredibly lush towels and robes, and little local touches such as traditional patterns on the tea cups. The hotel itself is really in the perfect location. Just two stops on the subway from Nagoya Station if you arrive via the bullet train, and two train stops from Nagoya Castle. The Sakae area is a vibrant district for shopping, nightlife and dining, and with Conrad Nagoya right in the middle of it, "

When I asked the hotel to add an extra bed, they demanded an additional 32,000 yen for two nights. Without paying, we would have had to squeeze three people onto one bed. We ended up paying the extra fee and were moved to a room with two 1.1-meter beds, which still wasn't comfortable for sleeping. Trip.com customer service tried to mediate, but the hotel was unyielding and refused a refund, so we had no choice but to accept the situation. Just a heads-up for others. Also, the bathroom floor had noticeable yellow stains, which was quite disgusting to look at."
