"This was a magical vacation for my husband and I and I’m not sure I can even put into words how special this property is. From the moment you arrive you feel like you are being cared for and I truly believe the staff are an integral part of how amazing it really is. The food is fresh and delicious and we looked forward to every single meal. Swimming off the cliffs is an experience you can’t miss and one evening we even saw dolphins! Gardener Owen was such a joy to chat with and he definitely took pride in tending to all the beautiful plants snd flowers around the property. Too many staff to mention as they were all just so lovely. I would say the only downside is that we don’t ever want to stay anywhere else!"

"The place initially had ac amd internet, but both went out after my husband arrived. He was staying at this hotel due to the recent hurricane stopping his electricity and they said they had electricity. When I attempted to contact the supervisor about changing his room , I continuously got hung up on and the front desk rep stopped answering my calls. I would never suggest anyone to stay at this hotel, and my family and i would never stay here again."

"Absolutnie miałem najlepszy czas w Rock House! Nie ma nic, czego nie kochałem, i polecam to w bicie serca. Nasz pokój był najdroższy, a mimo to mały, spełnił nasze potrzeby. Kiedyś chętnie pobyt w jednym z willi z widokiem na morze! Housekeeping był doskonały. Powierzchnia jest rozległa, a widoki na skały i dostęp do wody są niesamowite. Można po prostu siedzieć na krześle salonowym cały dzień patrząc na wodę. Staff jest wszechświat i wspaniały. Goście są ze wszystkich stron, a wszyscy byli mili i przyjaźni. Rock House rzuca w nieco dodatkowe codziennie - jeden dzień komplementarny krótki masaż, inny dzień był darmowy napoje przy basenie, a każdego dnia cieszyliśmy się szczęśliwą godziną od 5-6 p.m. Zachody słońca były niesamowite. Położenie było wspaniałe i poszliśmy do pobliskich restauracji - Sips i Bits, Erica's i Xtabi. Mieliśmy śniadanie w Rock House, które było smaczne. Miejsce pozwoliło nam wyjść i wspierać więcej lokalnych firm."

"We stayed at XYE Resort January 22, 2023 for 39 days. This is our favorite home away from home. We have stayed here for 10+ years even before it was XYE. If you’re expecting a 5 star resort for a 3-4 star price you might be disappointed. However, you will get a clean room with AC and fan, a small refrigerator, a safe for valuables, a TV and private bathroom. A comfortable bed and most of all a short 2 mins walk to the beach. The staff are friendly and there is a security guard present. We love the garden rooms with their small balconies. These are small duplexes and you will share the balcony with the other room. Our entertainment is sitting on our balcony and greeting the occasional people walking thru the lane to the beach in the morning, while having coffee and listening to roosters crowing. In the evening we enjoy listening to tree frogs and visiting with friends and listening to our own music. And of course most of all walking to The beach without having to cross a road. Going for a swim or just walking up and down the beach. There are beach chairs you can sit in under a sea grape tree or pull it out into the sun and look out at the Chrystal blue sea and people passing by on the beach. The restaurant and bar has good food and drinks. We like to eat there sometimes but also like walking the beach to other venues nearby or down the beach for food and drinks. There are only approximately 15 rooms so your beach isn’t crowded and it’s quiet and relaxing. But once while we were there, a very loud music party next door at Chances Pizza. Good news it was only for 1 night. The new Hilo grocery store is a 10 minute walk from XYE and there is a cambio if needed in the pharmacy and a bank there has an ATM. Plus there are shops and restaurants nearby. XYE is not for everyone. If you want simple clean accommodations without a lot of people and be right on the beach and don’t mind a small room, this is the place. We have already booked for next year. ❤️"
