Nikko Station Hotel Building2 ★★★
"The hotel is great and very convenient, just a two or three-minute walk to the JR station. On the first day, I got bitten by mountain leeches while visiting the World Heritage temple complex. Thankfully, the front desk gave me medicine to apply and bandages to stop the bleeding. I'm very grateful for the hotel's help. On the second day, you can walk to Chuzenji Onsen and climb Mount Nantai, which takes about 6 hours round trip. It's the third-highest mountain in the Kanto region, so if you enjoy hiking, you should definitely give it a try."
Nikko Kanaya Hotel ★★★★★
"This was a truly lovely hotel with a wonderful atmosphere. Every corner was picturesque. I highly recommend joining the guided tour of the building. The entire hotel is well-heated, so light clothing is perfectly fine. The food was delicious too. My only minor disappointment was the lack of a hot spring or a large public bath."
Nikko Station Hotel Classic ★★★
"Położony w pobliżu stacji Tobu Nikko i różnych tras autobusowych, Nikko Hotel Classic został idealnie zlokalizowany. Jego pokoje były przestronne i onsen położony w hotelu ma zarówno baseny na zewnątrz, jak i wnętrz. Zdecydowanie poleca."
Nikko Stay House Arai ★★
"It was wonderful! The house is 7-10 minutes walk away from station. The housekeeper Mariko San is the most perfect woman, very friendly and modest, we easily got along with. I love this town and also house so much now, it will always be in my heart. We miss you 🥹♥️"
Fairfield by Marriott Tochigi Nikko ★★★
"Was a nice stay in this hotel! Happy with the service. Suggest this hotel for those who rent a car"
Chuzenji Pension ★★★
"Pokój ma świetny widok na jezioro Chuzenji. Czysty i czysty. Obiad jest bardzo smaczny, zwłaszcza trzcina z migdałą. Właściciel jest bardzo miły i miły."
Nikko Senhime Monogatari ★★★★
"While we opted for a room-only plan this time, we would absolutely love to book a stay with breakfast and dinner included on our next visit. Despite it being a room-only booking, the location was superb, and our entire family had a truly wonderful time. Thank you very much."
Hotel Ootaki ★★★
"Great value for money, and the room was spacious, which I really appreciated. All the necessary amenities were provided, so my stay was very comfortable. The large public bath was clean and satisfying, and I was pleasantly surprised that they offered a shuttle service to use the public bath at their sister hotel."
Hotel Casual Euro-Nikko's Inn with Its Own Natural Hot Spring ★★★
"20 minutes walk uphill from the city. Really not a big deal but it seems some people are avoiding it for this reason. They have some shuttle to and from the city in the middle of the day. Green terrace restaurant just next to the hotel also have shuttle service back to the city if needed. Bathtub on the balcony is a nice addition (although it views the main parking lot) , but the public bath is nice enough that you won't really need it. No laundry room, service felt limited given the price."

Shelter Garden Nikko
"The hotel and rooms were excellent, and the dinner and breakfast we booked were plentiful and exquisite. The wine was also very good. The owner, who is also the hotel's designer, is incredibly kind and welcoming. During dinner, he went to each table to chat with guests and inquire about their dining and accommodation arrangements. The only downside is the location; it's quite far from the bus stop, requiring a long walk or a taxi ride to reach the hotel, but the experience was definitely worth it."
Asaya
"The hotel was clean and the service was good; I was very satisfied. The bath and the food were especially nice. I would love to stay here again if I have the chance."
The Ritz-Carlton, Nikko
"The hotel boasts an innovative design, numerous smart amenities in the rooms, and a beautiful outdoor environment with breathtaking views of Lake Chuzenji. Coming during good weather and the autumn foliage season is truly worth the price of admission."
Kanaya Hotel Kinugawa
"This amazing hotel is located in the heart of Kinugawa with views over the gorge and is a 15 minute drive to Nikko. On arrival there are staff to take your car and bags and to check you in which is a seamless experience. There is coffee and tea available on arrival while you wait. This occurs in a pleasant lounge overlooking the forested valley. Across from the lounge is a well appointed shop. We had room 212 for three nights which was a spacious room done in traditional Japanese style. Although plainly decorated it had a very authentic feel and design. The room had a nice balcony but this could not easily be used as the afternoons were hot. There was minimal view from this room limited to trees and forested hillside and not the river. Perhaps the higher floors would likely have a better view. Spacious bathroom with a separate toilet. Good shower but no external curtain or privacy screen available. Along with the Onsen being out in the open on the balcony we found this lacked privacy for our liking. There was excellent responsive air conditioning. The room rate includes free mini bar with beer and iced tea and water. Only negative was poor quality towels and tissues. All staff were extremely attentive and nothing is too much for them. Excellent Alacarte breakfast was brought directly to your table. You are offered a choice between Japanese and Western breakfast. Some options rotated each day. Apart from this the choice was limited to 3 types of eggs. Everything was quality. Included in the rate was half board dinner each evening. Whilst you are at dinner your futon bed is made up in your room complete with turn down service which was usually a snack for later in the evening. The meal is 2 plus hours and very Japanese but again absolute quality. After three nights it does feel excessive to be enjoying a lengthy multi course menu but we did get to experience many meals that we would not normally try. The attention to detail went so far as having different crockery for each course. Some of these were very artistic. Overall this is an amazing one off experience although you do pay for the privilege."
Itoen Hotel New Sakura
"Położenie jest naprawdę dobre. 10 minut od stacji. Łatwy do znalezienia. Wielki hotel, około 11 piętra. Pokój jest dość przestronny, część w stylu zachodnim z łóżkami i część w japońskim z tamisami. Jest zlew w temidydy pokoju, dość wygodny. Dobry widok na górę i las z okna, 9 piętro. Ładny yukata do nosić, lubiłem zewnętrzny. Śniadanie i kolacja to bufet, dość duży wybór, darmowe piwo na kolację, nie tak wiele owoców, nie ciasta na śniadanie (tylko kolacja). Jest sushi i sashimi wybór, pyszne jedzenie. Onsen jest dość dobry, czysty, duży. Poleca tu pobyt"
Kinugawa Plaza Hotel
"The room was very clean and we had a great view of the Kinugawa River! The hotel also had a calming atmosphere, so I'm glad I stayed at this hotel! I'd love to stay here again!"
Kinugawa Grand Hotel Yume No Toki
"Very nice hotel and super friendly staff, highly recommended"
Kinugawa Royal Hotel
"From a price-quality point of view, this hotel is quite worthwhile for the unpretentious traveler. The location is in a picturesque place, but away from the main route of Nikko attractions. The hotel is quite old, but this was not too annoying. But dust is wiped only in visible places (no one bothers with anything near the windows or the hatch in the toilet). There was also very little water pressure in the room, although everything is fine in the onsen. The onsen was fine, but on one of the three days the smell of bleach was quite strong. The dinner was good, considering the cost and free alcohol, but the breakfast was quite unusual for a European."
Hoshino Resorts KAI Kinugawa
"Bardzo dobrze"
Nikko Tokinoyuu
"The main advantages of this hotel are its traditional ryokan-style atmosphere, the on-site hot spring baths, and its convenient location. Several tourist attractions and bus stops are within walking distance, and the room rates are reasonable. However, the service was extremely disappointing. On the day of check-out, the hotel only allowed luggage storage until 12:00 PM. After check-out, guests were not permitted to use any of the hotel’s facilities, including the restroom. Instead, we were told to use the public restroom next door. Because of the poor customer service and lack of flexibility, I would not recommend staying here."
Kamenoi Hotel Okunikko
"Wspaniałe ośrodki onsen. Kocham baseny krytych i plenerowych. Hotel jest czysty i wygodny, choć był dość stary. Wiele rzeczy do zrobienia wokół hotelu z dobrymi wycieczkami. Miałem wspaniały 2 noclegi tutaj"
Ashionoyado Kajika
"Very good"
Rakuten STAY VILLA Nikko
Hotel Murakami
"Dobry mały hotel, który jest dość blisko stacji. Śniadanie wliczone"
Okunoin Hotel Tokugawa
"Japanese-style hotel. Kimono and hot baths. Japanese cuisine at the restaurant (you may or may not like it, but surprises are always in store). Lost in the middle of the forest in an enchanting setting."
Fufu Nikko
"Nikko is a popular summer retreat for Tokyoites and the burial site of shogun Tokugawa Ieyasu, known for its beautiful scenery. The sacred Shinkyo Bridge is conveniently located between the hotel and the station. However, the hotel doesn't offer a shuttle service, meaning the Fufu's renowned service is limited to within its premises. Once you step out, you're on your own. When I left, there were no taxis available, and no ride-hailing apps either. The staff, with a smile, simply pointed me in the direction of the public bus stop, under the blazing sun. The hotel's garden, though not huge, is quite beautiful. The rooms are spacious, the internet connection is decent, and the facilities are excellent, especially the hot springs – both the in-room ones and the large public bath are fantastic. The absolute highlight of this hotel is undoubtedly the dining. It was truly superb."
