Renaissance Orlando at SeaWorld®

SeaWorld Area Orlando|SeaWorld Orlando w odległości 0.66km
With all the great Marriott options in the Disney area, this one certainly punches above it weight. The building has a great look both inside and out (love the huge atrium in the center of the building). The locations is convenient to Disney, Universal, I Drive, and obviously Sea World. You do have to pay resorts fees and for parking, but that's no different than any other resort property in the area. Plus, if you take advantage of the shuttle service to the park, the resort fee pays for itself. We've stayed here twice in the last 2 months and all of the employees have been polite and helpful. The rooms are excellent, exactly what you would expect from a Renaissance level property, and have the amenities that you would expect. Pool area is nice and the pool bar meets expectations. What sets this place apart is the lobby bar and the breakfast buffet. The lobby bar sits in the middle of the atrium, so its got a great vibe. Drink prices are what you'd expect, but if you're a high medallion member (got titanium this year), they give you 2 beer/wine vouchers per visit. The breakfast buffet is EXCELLENT, and again if you're medallion (not sure which level the cutoff is at) it's free. We usually never opt in for the free breakfast, but we always get this buffet when we stay here. All the selections including an omelet station. Anna always takes care of us at breakfast. She even remembered us from our previous stay a month prior which really impressed me and my fiancée. She's so polite and helpful and her personality and smile start your day on the right note. If you're looking for a resort feel for your Orlando trip but don't want to shell out JW or Ritz prices, this is where you want to go! Top marks all around!

Element Orlando International Drive

My family of four arrived at the Element at 5:30pm after an 8 hour drive only to find they oversold the suite I reserved (directly through their site) for two nights. The receptionist at the front desk sent me to two different rooms that he had said were suites (separate bedroom) but turned out to be just standard studio rooms. Perhaps sensing my growing frustration, another receptionist, ”Nebraska”, upgraded our room to a nicer suite on the top floor. Kudos to her. If she had not done that my review would be 0 stars. This suite was nice and large but, unfortunately, the bedroom AC did not work at all the first night (the main living AC was working). After calling down the next morning for repair, the next night yielded a blowing fan from the vent, but NO cold air. Our stay was in early April, so the temperature hovered at 74 degrees at night in that bedroom which was kinda doable? If this had been in the heat of mid-summer, tho? I was surprised to find this issue at a new hotel. The hotel is nicely designed with a Scandinavian flair and the Aloft adjoins which I think is a great way to share accommodations with complimentary hotels. The room and bedding seemed clean. There were only two towels in the bathroom which seemed strange for such a large suite. The bathroom door would not lock. The bathroom fan did not turn on. Again, why is this happening a newer hotel? The breakfast was surprisingly worse than expected. The person making omelets was friendly enough, but the egg mixture is poured from a large container and is obviously very low quality. Don't expect them to be cracking eggs in front of you. There is no other hot food, just fruit, yogurt and muffins. etc. There was no luggage cart available the entire night we checked in. I had to take about 5 or 6 trips to get my families gear up to the room. There was one cart available on the day we checked out, tho. Finally, If you think you are wanting to walk from this hotel please read on. The hotel is located right across the back of Seaworld and was visible from our room. However the front and only entrance to Seaworld is unfortunately a 30-40 minute walk away through some heavy traffic streets. Without sidewalks at times. I was forced to walk this route w/ stroller due to an ill child mid-day at the park (we had gotten seperated from a family friend that we rode to the park with, and Uber with child seat was 20 minutes away) and it was long and precarious journey. You have to cross a 4 lane highway, without a crosswalk, to get to the Seaworld parking lot. Nobody else was walking the route while I was on it. It appears Seaworld does not encourage walking to the park. Especially from this direction. Without Nebraska helping us out at the front desk, this would've been a real tough trip. So much thanks to her. I hope Marriott can remedy their oversold room issue, improve the breakfast, and address the themaintenance issues. Call ahead?

Great value for the price paid! Very clean and spacious rooms and they have a big spa/pool area. The other pool was closed but they might make some improvements in time for the peak season. Nice basketball court and table tennis area, they even have a mini golf for kids to enjoy.

Aloft Orlando International Drive

I have stayed at an Aloft before but this one was particularly disappointing for a multiple-night business trip stay. The hotel is connected with the Element hotel next door (it shares the connected gym as well as parking lot), so first off, one should compare rates. The Aloft is located behind a couple of fast food restaurants near Sea World. Check-in experience was subpar, taking extensive time as the sole agent was on the phone for ten minutes, not even looking up at me to acknowledge me waiting. The room itself is sparing: hard floors; exposed rack bar for a “closet”; no wall dividing the bathroom area; built in shower with flimsy plastic door. The decor was quirky, with repeating wallpaper that has random images interspersed; a window curtain that has matrix-like number grids on it; a wall decal sticker in the corner with electrical diagram shapes. The decor gave the room an irreverent but also chintzy feel. And the room's limited functionality was a big challenge, especially when the hotel cut corners on even the most basic operations. The bathroom sink light only had one of the two *****s working. There was no iron provided, just a crappy steamer. The bathroom amenities, drybar-branded bottles attached to the wall, are overperfumed (and I had 2x conditioner bottles, and no shampoo bottle--though housekeeping remedied this for the next day). The electrical outlets in the room are poorly situated and the pop-out one by the table cannot accommodate an apple laptop plug because it’s too narrow. And the oval desk by the seating area doesn’t really work for a laptop; it was thoroughly uncomfortable trying to work in the room. Noise from the hallway was pretty bad. The worst part of this hotel was that the claim of “daily housekeeping” is an outright lie—they only change garbage and towels and won’t change linens even if asked, despite the fact that the hotel website falsely advertises this (upon check-in, they hand you a letter at the front saying linen service is only every five days, as if this absolves them from responsibility). The room really could have used a thorough cleaning, as well; I walked in the room in socks which were gross on the bottom by the end. This housekeeping claim is clearly bait and switch. The gym does have a lot of equipment, though the two stretching mats look like they’ve been attacked by rats, with huge pieces of the mats missing. The elevators are slow and you have to push buttons on each elevator separately. The parking charge of $24 / day is highway robbery. Checkout was smooth though they could not print the bill for some reason (laziness?). Overall, I would not stay at this property again. It does not suit a professional needing to work in the evenings and sleep comfortably.

Sylvia was very friendly and professional, her and the housekeeping crew did a wonderful job of cleaning our room. I have a small baby with me and I very much appreciate that the room was spotless! She was very nice with her service and very good at her job. Probably one of the best housekeeping managers I’ve ever met!

This hotel was great, it was clean our room was superb. It was a studio but was so spacious and for the two of us was just great it was better than I had anticipated. It was cleaned everyday and had everything you needed. Check in was great, very friendly and welcoming and so polite. The pool was lovely and relaxing on the days we spent there and the drinks that were served were great. The breakfast was fine, it was not a luxury breakfast but it started your day the right way, please the only fault i had was some of the staff serving breakfast were not that friendly and you felt rushed. This can be sorted with a quick word from management to them. All in all a great hotel, with a great front desk even let us check out later than the time suggested. I will definitely recommend and stay here again.

There is a parking lot, the breakfast is barely normal, so the small room does not know where the bed can be added? After arriving at the hotel, hit Uber to Walmart 8.5 knife, buy a bunch of food and drink, you can bring into the aquarium and Disney. The main food we have these days is: milk bread, fruit and cheese bars. I feel better than the pasta burgers I bought in the restaurants and gardens. Advantages: The service staff is very nice; breakfast is also made to have soy milk, milk, egg and bread, DIY Mickey waffles can be heated; there is a small supermarket (although a bit expensive) on the side of the hotel, there is also an American restaurant; take the child from the hotel to the sea world 15 minutes or so; free to send two bottles of water, a paper cup hair dryer, shower gel shampoo hand soap. Disadvantages: The air conditioner is too noisy, not the central air conditioner, the temperature can not be adjusted, and the cold is turned off. I don’t know if the CMB room booked on Ctrip is arranged on the first floor? The windows opened and quarreled and hot; the bed and carpet were dirty. Ctrip has booked 127 to the store to pay 136. A door is a feeling of suppressing the dirty. Fortunately, I only stayed for one night. This is much worse than the Disney self-operated hotel that stayed for a few nights. The hotel behind it is only about 100.
