"Zarezerwowaliśmy ten Chateau jako ostatni przystanek na koniec naszego wakacji we Francji. Miał być trochę luksusu po długim napędzie .. i jest z pewnością spektakularny w jego ustawieniu i wieku. Właściciele byli mile widziani i pomocni, a ich domowe chleby i pasty były niesamowite - tak jak ich żarcie, co oznaczało, że musieliśmy zabrać trochę do domu! Było trochę zamieszanie podczas kolacji, ponieważ nie było go dostępne, gdy przybyliśmy, więc sprawdź instrukcje rezerwacji - poszliśmy do pobliskiego miasta i mieliśmy szczęście, że znaleźliśmy gdzieś otwarte w niedzielną noc. Pokój był trochę zmęczony i będzie trudne dotrzeć, jeśli jesteś w ogóle niestabilny na stopach, jak to było na ścisłej, kamiennej, zakrzywionej schodowej pudełka z pudełkami stuleci-wartych kroków, co sprawia, że to dość triumf! Łóżko było najbardziej wygodne, że spałem w miesiącach - choć mój mąż był przekonany, że przeniesiono go w nocy! Właściciele zapewnili nas, że to nie ****** więc to może być wino! "The room was tight with space and the shower room the size of a closet. The wash basin was cracked. Where the manager was very charming and helpful her staff left much to be desired. Their body language left one with the impression that they were tired of tourists invading their space; indifferent and could not look at you in the eye. Table service was very poor showing a lack of training and experience. We were seated at a table but not given any menus. After waiting a quarter of an hour we noticed other couples arriving were seated and given menus immediately. At that point I got up and asked a member of staff for a menu. Having supplied our order we were kept waiting half an hour before the first course arrived while other customers who had arrived after us were served before us. Our dinner took us two and a half hours! On departure, after two nights, we were checked out by one of the assistants who was very curt, could not look at me in the eye and could not bring herself to wish us a pleasant journey! Cannot recommend this hotel"

"Siedzieliśmy na pierwszym piętrze budynku „głowa” i było 2 oddzielne pokoje. Möbel jest bardzo stary i pokoje wywołały pyło i nie dość czyste wrażenie. 1 z pokoi nie miał zasłony. Beddengoed był stary (mały zużyty lakes) i muffy. Śniadanie było bardzo przyjazne i pomocne. Śniadanie nie sugeruje wiele, (brak świeżego) chleba z tylko kieliszkiem jabłek, jogurtu i soku jabłkowego. Paski herbaty również wyglądały bardzo stare. Środowisko jest piękne, przestronny ogród i pobliskie miasto z kilkoma restauracjami."

"First, the town of Bellême is more charming and interesting in person than can be described on paper. We had wonderful dinners, peaceful walks and we learned about the area (Perche), which was one of our goals. It is a great place to headquarter if you are planning to explore the region. Second, the hotel is a work of art, literally. The decor reflects the artistic background of the hosts and each item is worth a moment of contemplation. The hosts were both very helpful and enthusiastic. They encouraged us in our endeavors and gave really good advice about restaurants and places of note. Overall, it was a lovely experience."

"On the way to the Castle of Carrouges, we stayed at the Lion of Gold restaurant in Ecouché-les-Vallées. Good pick: after a warm welcome, the housemaster guided us to a beautiful and comfortable room with a spacious sheep table. The unique formula of the midday offers a varied and appetiteful buffet followed by exquisite slices of a soft cow roast and sweet with its garment, served by the cook in person. The "home" desserts, certainly classic, were particularly delicious, all for a very reasonable price. Therefore, very favourable impression that contrasts with the latest review published by Trip Advisor under Mike Prior: " .... Something wrong with the hotel, but the male grossness, the presumed owner, was unprecedented. The spirit of time is the most hostile to the "male" (metoouesque androphobia?) especially if it is a good idea to be our owner? The barbe that served us very courteously last noon has not inspired us a so severe judgment. Honni be who man thinks!"

"This was the hotel selected for a coach tour. New when I saw that a continental breakfast would be supplied, however, no other meals were available. With the hotel being 20 walk from the main town area, it was not suitable for everyone to get food. Local deliveries when busy. The bar even ran out of beer. Room is basic but quiet. Would have been nice to have a kettle at least in the room."
