"The location was good for being alone at night, the commuter train was 10 minutes away to go to Lisbon, Porto, etc., but I didn't like the town at all, apart from the beach being 5 km away on foot. The room was good, some were noisy because of the river, the staff was excellent. The food had a problem, very tasty cooked vegetables, good salads, fruit and a correct breakfast, but they only serve one protein at lunch and dinner and in 4 days only 1 fish meal, out of 8 meals, 7 were meat. The wine was very good and they never gave us cod, just a scrambled egg which was all mashed potatoes. Very grateful for collecting our suitcases and taking them up to reception and giving us a very nice wine while we waited."

"Verry clean and friendly guesthouse. But owner is busy to renovate. The new rooms are beautiful but the older ones a problem. Noisy, bad located toilet. But in one or two years it will be nice. Just a few hundred meters from the sea."

Be&See in River

"Amazing property made out from the old mill. Everything is preserved and restored. Rooms are very comfortable and in lovely style. Grounds are like a paradise with river, waterfall and birds singing. Owners Jose and Maria were beyong words welkoming, showed us all property and prepared amazing breakfast. Driving to the hotel: use the gps location and then follow very small signs on the trees. Road will become unpaved and parking is in the forest, not far from the gates."

"Very low quality hotel in terms of cleaning, bathroom dirty, bugs in the corners, smells, the employees are very few and they are over tasked. No relation in the quality price, would not recommend it at all"

Restaurant had a small menu, done well. The beds were beautifully comfortable and were very welcome on our first night on the trail. Would highly recommend."
