"I left my luggage at the hotel front desk for two hours, and then went to the airport for a flight back home in the evening. When I returned home and opened my suitcase, I found that the Burberry card holder I bought the night before had been stolen. Because the card holder was still there when I packed my luggage, and the suitcase had only been left at the front desk for two hours, I was very sure that it was stolen by the hotel staff. After reporting it to Ctrip and contacting the hotel, it was fruitless. To be honest, the distance was so far, and I didn't expect to find it back, but as a star hotel, such a thing actually happened, I was very speechless. This is my first time to comment on a hotel as a Ctrip member, and I must let everyone know the real situation. I hope that when Ctrip recommends hotels, the safety of foreign hotels should at least be put first."

"The suite facilities are relatively new and there's a home theater room. The service was excellent. The only minor drawback was that there was only one bed for two children and one adult. "The hotel is right in the centre of the city and only a short walk to the shops and restaurants. We were able to park at the hotel as we had phoned ahead and had a blue badge. You leave the keys with the hotel so they can move the cars around as everything is blocked in. If your car is large you’ll struggle to enter as the entrance is through an archway in the wall. Nice breakfast and facilities and a lovely room. It was really hot when we were there and either there was no air conditioning or it wasn’t working. There were fans in the room. We were fine and didn’t need the fan as our room was at the back of the building and down a floor which meant it was protected from the heat. I think others staying didn’t have quite the same experience. It was an extremely hot month! Staff were really help and nice too."

"We were attending a wedding in Oxford and the city centre hotels were very expensive. The reviews for the Black Boy were good so we booked.  It was a joy to stay here and we had a fabulous weekend..  Great location - about 10 mins in taxi from centre and bus stop about 5 mins or so walk.  Buses went to the city centre and railway station.  The room was lovely, as were the welcoming staff.  Breakfasts were very good and the pub had a nice atmosphere and an outside garden area.  Would recommend to anyone wanting to stay in Oxford."

"Completely unacceptable treatment of guests This was an absolutely unacceptable experience. We arrived at the hotel on 6 August at 8:01 pm with our 11-year-old child and our luggage. The room had been fully paid for almost six months in advance. Only when we were already on our way did we receive a notification — just one hour before our arrival — that the hotel had cancelled our booking. The most shocking part is that our money had still not been refunded. So the hotel cancelled a fully paid reservation at the very last minute, left us without accommodation in the evening, kept our money, and did not even offer a proper apology. We were travelling with a child, exhausted after the journey, with suitcases, and suddenly had to urgently search for another place to stay late in the evening. This caused us considerable stress, inconvenience and additional expense. A hotel should not be allowed to treat guests this way. Cancelling a reservation at the last minute after holding the guest's money for months is completely unacceptable. I strongly recommend avoiding this hotel. If a hotel cannot honour a confirmed and prepaid reservation, it should take responsibility for the consequences and provide an appropriate alternative — not leave a family with a child to deal with the situation themselves. We are now seeking a full refund and compensation for the additional costs and serious inconvenience caused by the hotel's cancellation."

"Zarezerwowaliśmy pokój stacjonarny na dwa noce w sierpniu. Jest mnóstwo parkingów na terenie, a nasze wejście było łatwe. Kiedyś w naszym pokoju, znaleźliśmy go przestronnym, z naprawdę ładnym patio, które miały dwa drewniane krzesła i mały stolik, a także bistro z dwoma metalowymi krzesłami. Dostępny jest zapasowy (ładowany lodówka), z małym mlekem do herbaty i kawy, oraz dwie małe butelki wody, które były darmowe. Oddzielna łazienka ma wspaniały prysznic zasilany, ale bardzo ciemny, z wiele produktów Bramley dostępne. Krytykuję czystość obszaru prysznicowego i łaźni, który znajduje się w głównej części pokoju. Na pierwszy wieczór cieszyliśmy się dobrym posiłkiem w hotelu, który był bardzo dobry, ale z wyjątkiem deseru dodatkowego, który był bardzo biedny. Śniadanie było dobre, ale ładowanie kawy wydawało się trochę ciasne. Zjedliśmy na zewnątrz drugi wieczór (Anioł w Burford, który był wspaniały) i pominięto śniadanie przed wyjazdem. Hotel był bardzo, bardzo cichy, mimo że to jest letnie wakacje, co może odzwierciedlać inne zakłady oferujące lepszą wartość. Życzyliśmy sobie szczęścia, ale czujemy, że hotel widział lepsze dni. Pokój miał kilka kosmetycznych wad (włócznia sukienka powiesił się z ściany jako jeden) i po prostu wyglądał trochę zmęczony. Mówiąc to, pracownicy byli świetni, z specjalnym wezwaniem do Ellie i Jagath, którzy nie mogli zrobić wystarczająco dla nas."

"This hotel is close to the station, which is convenient for access. However, if you're planning to sightsee, it's quite far from the city center. I also paid over 70,000 yen for a two-night stay without meals, which is expensive, especially considering there's no elevator, only stairs. While it's good that there's air conditioning, the facilities don't match the price. It was also disappointing that breakfast wasn't included. A few days after checking out, I developed back pain. I will never stay here again."
