„I chose another accommodation nearby the train station (and airport), but that was cancelled, so Trip.com bumped me up to this accommodation. It was conveniently close to the train station and they offer a free airport shuttle service. The room was what you would expect, although for this price I would expect there to be a fridge in the room - but it seems that in China this is a rare amenity. The check-in staff were very slow, and didn't ask any questions after I handed them my passport. My 64-page passport is almost completely full of stamps and visas (including many Chinese visas), but because they didn't (want to) ask, I just let them leave through it for almost 5 minutes until they found my most recent entry stamp into China.”

„The biggest surprise of my Turpan trip was staying at Rizamat Homestay! The entire estate feels like an ancient Western Regions castle, blending Uyghur and Moroccan styles with rammed earth walls, pointed towers, and courtyard pools. Every photo taken here looks like an exotic blockbuster, creating an incredible atmosphere. The room was spacious and clean, with intricate ethnic decor details – the wooden carved furniture and distinctive throw pillows were incredibly charming. With both central air conditioning and underfloor heating, it was exceptionally comfortable. The service was warm and attentive, with welcome fruits upon check-in and complimentary mini-bar drinks. Breakfast was rich and authentic. The location is excellent, very close to Grape Valley Scenic Area, making transportation convenient. The estate also has a café, a sand therapy area, and a laundry room, offering a full range of recreational facilities for an excellent experience. I'll definitely stay here again on my next visit to Turpan!”

„Gorgeous little hostel—one of my favourites I’ve stayed at in all of China. The staff are incredibly friendly, and the hostel has a wonderful international atmosphere, which I think many hostels in China are missing. It has a really welcoming, social vibe, and I’d happily stay here again.”

„I checked in around 9 PM on July 5th. The young lady at the front desk was very warm and attentive. The hotel itself is upscale, the room was spotless, and the breakfast offered a wide variety of delicious options. The service auntie in the breakfast area was incredibly polite and kind-hearted; I saw her immediately wipe up a spill on the floor to prevent guests from slipping, which I really appreciated! This auntie deserves a big thumbs up! Plus, it's super convenient to get to Turpan Night Market from the hotel.”

„We absolutely love our brief stay at this hotel. The check in service was speedy and pleasant. The receptionists were friendly and went up and above to serve us. This is by far the best hotel for our trip to Xinjiang. There are 2 sets of complimentary washers and dryers for guests for which is really helpful. The only downside is there is only 1 set of lift (for our wing) and the wait can be long during peak breakfast hours.”

„The hotel is absolutely beautiful, with every corner thoughtfully designed. The pool and sand therapy area are huge, and there's always a lifeguard on duty at the pool. My only complaint is that I noticed some trash and cigarette butts in the sand therapy area, which definitely needs addressing. Our room was upgraded to a very spacious one, and every design detail was clever. Plus, the upgraded room type came with a washing machine! They also provided disposable toilet seat covers and bath bags. I also have to mention that the welcome fruit platter was incredibly generous, and most importantly, the cantaloupe, watermelon, and grapes were exceptionally sweet – it really showed the hotel's genuine effort, not just a perfunctory gesture. Finally, a big shout-out to the front desk staff, who were incredibly warm and welcoming. Turpan is great, and the Wyndham is definitely worth staying at!”

„Turpan Wellside Hostel | My most comfortable home during my trip was right next to the Karez Well! ✨ Choosing to stay at the Wellside Hostel was definitely the best decision I made on my trip to Turpan! It's located near the Karez Well scenic area, within walking distance of this ancient water conservancy marvel, and not far from the city center, making it convenient to visit Grape Valley and Flaming Mountains. The location is incredibly friendly for independent travelers. Upon entering the hostel, I was immediately struck by the bright and clean lobby! The reception area was decorated by the owner herself with a hand-painted mural, featuring a cute Afanti design full of Turpan's local characteristics, instantly showing her thoughtfulness. The lobby had sofas, a coffee table, and a huge refrigerator. The common areas were spacious and clean, making it super comfortable to sit and relax or chat with fellow travelers. The rooms exceeded my expectations! The dormitory room I stayed in had individual cubicles, each with a blackout curtain, a personal lamp, and a charging port, ensuring maximum privacy. The beds were soft and clean, with linens changed after each guest. The wardrobes and stairs were spotless, even the floor shone – a true delight for those with a phobia of germs! The bathroom had a separate shower and toilet, 24-hour hot water, and all necessary toiletries, completely free of the damp, musty smells typical of hostels. The landlady was an incredibly warm and welcoming young woman, her personality as warm as the Turpan sunshine. Upon arrival, she meticulously planned my itinerary, recommended popular local restaurants, and even reminded me of sun protection and heatstroke prevention tips for Turpan. She was always patient and helpful, making me feel completely at ease. There was also an outdoor rest area outside the hostel, perfect for relaxing in the evenings, chatting with other travelers, and enjoying the breeze. During my stay at the Jingpan Hostel, I didn't feel like a stranger at all; instead, I felt right at home with friends. The clean environment, attentive service, and convenient location made my Turpan trip incredibly enjoyable! For anyone traveling to Turpan, this is a gem of a hostel – you won't be disappointed!”

„This is a hidden gem of a guesthouse! The best accommodation experience of my entire Xinjiang trip! I was so lucky to choose this place in Turpan. The courtyard is full of grapevines, and the shade under the trees is incredibly cool, with fans providing complete respite from the outside heat. The rooms were spotless and very comfortable. The owner and everyone at the guesthouse were incredibly warm and welcoming, especially the owner, who was like Doraemon. He picked us up from the airport and even took us to restaurants and tourist attractions when he had time. Freshly cut watermelon, freshly brewed Xinjiang tea, and sweet ice cream—they treated us with such care, offering unlimited watermelon and grapes, showing their genuine sincerity and hospitality. The grapes in the courtyard were very sweet, and we could pick them ourselves. The breakfast was also fantastic, and I even tried the owner's Chongqing noodles—truly delicious! I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Turpan. Highly recommended!”

„What a wonderful place to stay! Even though we arrived very late in the evening, they still cooked dinner for us. The room was spotlessly clean, with lovely decor and had everything we needed. For a peaceful getaway, this is the place. The manager and his family were delightful - so kind, friendly and helpful. After a day out sight-seeing, we loved relaxing on the hotel balcony and looking up at the amazing rock formations only a stone's throw away. We stayed three nights and hope to come back some day. Thank you for a fabulous stay.”
