"Great location, close to everything, friendly staff, very good wifi, and that's about it... otherwise, it's a complete letdown! The hotel is old, but that wouldn't be a problem if the facilities worked properly, but that's not the case. The beds are not comfortable at all and the shower water wouldn't get hot even with fervent prayer! Worse still, it cost $80 a night, so it wasn't cheap either. Punta del Este must have much better hotels at similar prices."

"Location: Excellent. Right in the Center. Very easy to move around and a lot of restaurant in 10-15 minutes walking distance radius. 2 different famous beaches are near. Bus terminal is 5-8 minutes walk. Room: We stayed in the room number 15. It was a medium size room, with everything we needed: Space for the luggage, warm shower, enough towels, soap, tv, private terrace, dark blinds (this is really good if you have a problem with the light when sleeping). From the window you can see a little bit of the sea and the hotel’s swimming pool. There was no any noise during the night, but in the morning you can hear housekeepers talking. Breakfast: I would say that it has a lot of sweet things (yogurt is also sweet), so if you don’t want sweet - you have a choice to eat fruits like watermelon, melon or bananas or scrambled eggs. They don’t offer fried or boiled eggs (my recommendation to the hotel is to give an option of fried eggs as it doesn’t cost much and some people can’t eat scrambled eggs). Drinks - you have option of coffee, few types of tea, orange juice (not natural). Price: Not bad for the location. Service: All good. Only one younger girl that works on reception doesn’t really greet customers. We would tell “good morning/evening” but she would not respond. Guys which work in the hotel were nice and friendly."

Since we were there for a wedding, we didn't get to enjoy the space much, but we want to go back to Punta on a more relaxed trip and I'm sure that Awa will be our choice."

"The hotel is simple but excellent. Considering the prices in Punta del Este during the holiday season, this was undoubtedly the best choice. The location is fantastic—it's within walking distance from the bus station and close to great restaurants, parks, markets, and all the city's amenities. It's also near the Ingleses Beach, where the Río de la Plata meets the Atlantic Ocean, as well as the Playa Brava and the famous "Hand in the Sand" sculpture—everything is easily accessible on foot. The staff was very attentive. The room had plenty of space for two double beds, was well-ventilated, and equipped with air conditioning. The bathroom had been recently renovated and was spacious enough for three people to use comfortably. The breakfast wasn’t extensive, but it was more than enough and very tasty. The hotel offers private, uncovered parking. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay."
