"I stayed for two nights midweek.The room was lovely and bright with a comfy bed and large bathroom with full sized bath. The staff could not have been more helpful and gave me lots of local information.Breakfast also available (at very reasonable price and with no addition charge for room service). Lovely position on the edge of the old port but still very quiet at night Superb!!"

I immediately hung up the phone."

"This Parador is defintely a cut above the normal excellent level of Paradors. All rooms are on the side of the hill , yes, the lifts all go down! We booked half board and were very impressed with the restaurant & staff. One of the bar staff was a bit gruff and wouldn´t serve us food at 1555. I think these paradors miss a trick by not offering food all day - at least a sandwich or something. Our room was a superior one - you get an enclosed terrace with views of the estuary. Well worth the extra cost. Shame there's no coffee/tea making facilites any more. The hotel restaurant food was excellent as were all the serving staff. Highly recommend this Parador"
