"The room and bathroom were tiny, making it hard to walk around the bed. There was only one small nightstand and no desk for a laptop. The lighting in the bathroom was poor. There's no point in having a mirror that's supposed to show the time if it isn't programmed. You'd be better off looking elsewhere."

"This room is on the ground floor adjacent reception. Noisy from reception and hotel traffic. No sun, no outlook and poorly lit, with only two bedhead lights in the room. You will spend the night listening to toilet water from the floors above cascading through your own toilet system. The gentleman on reception seemed quite pompous and offered no assistance in addressing my issues."

"We stayed for some days at the Hotel Hermitage in Royan and i liked the location and room, but we didn‘t sleep well or long enough due to the loud buzzing noises of the air cons in the rooms of other guests and the deep drone in the mornings from the elevator as we had a room not far from it. The hotel advertises free parking spots but the hotel hasn‘t parking spaces of it‘s own and the parking spots just behind the hotel are in the blue zone (max 1 to 1.5 hours stay possible) so you have to hunt for a free parking spot in town (best chances are around the cathedral). Avoid the hotel on weekends as young guests book just one or two nights to attend parties in town and they make a lot of noise in their room, but as there‘s no staff from 21:00 on you can‘t ask anybody to talk to the kids."

"Maybe because it is an old family hotel, the room is small, there is no elevator, and you have to carry your luggage upstairs. In fact, the room is very clean, but because the floor is tiled, it is not as dry and warm as a chain hotel. The white grandfather seems to be not very friendly to Asians. I will stay in a chain hotel next time. You can park at the door, but there may not be a space. It is close to the beach."
