Beautiful hotel, staff were amazing and so helpful. would definitely go back. It is great as a 3 star hotel, the staff treated us much better than that. The breakfast was the only thing that let it down. All the hot food was in the same container so no good for cross contamination or for vegetarians. The place was clean and the staff gave us everything we asked for.

From the minute we arrived at this Exceptionally placed Hotel, we were made to feel at Home. The Staff are genuinely friendly relaxing and warm. From Vincenzo showing us the Beautiful Orange Garden Terrace, the Pool staff, the super helpful recieption ladies,the excellent Breakfast team, to the immaculate clean fresh rooms made up by the Friendly Ladies Team. Breakfast is perfect with an incredibe selection, with Cakes more than you can eat, and Full Continental in a Fresh,Airy Breakfast room, the Staff attentive and friendly fun. The Hotel is Top Quality in superb location. We chilled both by the quiet sheltered Pool, which is clean beautiful, and a short stroll to Beach with a superb 180 Mountain Vista. Dining out each night in Town you are spoilt for choice for excelelnt ambience Restaurants in this Warm, well designed lighting labarynth of Via's and views. We had the most Magical, Sicilian, Tranquil, Romantic, Relaxing, Fun time and didnt want to leave. Thank You Castellammare del Golfo and everyone at Hotel

A fabulous hotel. We stayed in a room with a balcony which was a nice size, very comfortable and clean. The breakfast was wonderful with a lot of choice. Staff were happy and want to help you. They gave us some ideas for different types of restaurants, one that we went to was a pizza restaurant, it was the best pizza I have ever eaten! The hotel is centrally located to the port and the beaches, right in the middle of the roads to take you to the shops. It is quiet with a large car park (payable) and a garden type piazza. There is a fabulous bakery/cafe attached to the building. I would definitely stay again. Do check your rooms though as this is a converted hotel from a very old building so each room is slightly different in shape and size.

Castellammare del Golfo is my mothers home town and I love to go and visit family and friends. I usually stay in my families home but it is in the middle of renovations so I chose to stay at Marina di Petrolo for my stay and it was the best decision I could have ever made. the location is perfect, you're walking distance from lots of great restaurants and attractions, amazing views from your room and the staff and hospitality were fantastic. On my last day I decided to splurge and booked a Relax massage; great way to wind down before taking my long flight back home to New York. Giuseppe my massage therapist was great he set a very relaxing zen atmosphere. The massage lasted an hour and I was so relaxed I fell asleep midway through. Will for sure be booking another massage next time I am in town!

The staff (especially Martina) were extremely helpful in assisting us after a car breakdown and service thereafter, including at dinner, was knowledgeable, professional and very pleasant. Our room was large, clean and well-equipped, with a great bathroom. At dinner my wife enjoyed pasta with rabbit and I had a fish soup with couscous - a local speciality. As a winery, it offers a wide range of its own products - we had an excellent white wine (Quater Vitis) made from four Sicilian grape types. Its olive oil was distinctive and delicious. As we arrived late we had no opportunity to explore its outdoor amenities. Guests have to walk up a couple of hundred metres from the carpark, and there is no lift (the staff were very helpful with our heavy luggage). Overall, you might be reminded of a high-end US countryside resort - high modern standards are maintained in a traditional Italian setting.
