Aparthotel Adagio Val d'Europe près de Disneyland Paris

Disneyland Paris Serris|1.28km from city center
I recently went to Disneyland Paris and as part of the Disney hotel and tickets, I booked to stay at Adagio as the website looks amazing. So brightly coloured and interesting with plenty of sunlight and friendly faces. It felt everything but. We arrived through the door to be in quite a dark open room, the glass on the doors out to the room was broken and everything just looked dark and run down. I chose this place because it was listed as 3 star and cheaper than the 2 star Disney hotel. I wish I'd chosen the Disney hotel now. The reception service was incredibly slow, it took forever to get served and the staff did not maintain any kind of queue on who to speak to next, so people kept jumping. The staff's awareness of what was happening outside of their computer screen was nil. I was in a mobility scooter and I felt invisible to staff. The counters were up high and there was no way of not looking up at the staff / being looked down on. When we finally checked in, bearing in mind time was at a premium, trying to get out the doors to the rooms was tricky. I couldn't do it without someone else and would have to walk despite pain if by myself. The doors were not automatic opening which might explain the broken glass. The 'apartments' are tiny. Some of the cupboard space you wonder why there's a door at all because it's just a waste of space. The photos on the website are taken with a wide angle lense. The bathroom is clostraphobic. There were 3 adults and 1 child in our room and we only just fit despite the website saying the the 1 bed apartments can take 4 people, 4 adults would not have worked. We went straight to the park, there was very little explanation of the shuttle services because they weren't part of the hotel. The adagio is linked to Disney but isn't a Disney hotel and boy did it show. Adagio didn't give us the tickets to get into the park as was at reception. We almost faced having to return but instead stood trying to sort it at customer experience. The website for the hotel is misleading, it says that there is a free shuttle every 15 minutes. It's once every hour there and back and it's a white bus that is marked up as 'special'. 4/5 buses the disability ramp didn't work and we'd have to carry the mobility scooter onto the platform. If you stay at this hotel and are disabled, you're probably better off getting a taxi. You have to get a taxi from Marne a la valle Europort anyway and its approx 16 euro one way. The hotel is next to a huge shopping centre but be warned that it's a trip and half to get to the supermarket from the hotel. You walk for a good 20 minutes inside the shopping centre. So being in a self catering apartment, you need time to go get food. However, if you plan to eat out then it's great as it's right next door. Sadly not a saving grace. All in all the Adagio was a massive let down.

Séjours & Affaires aparthotel Rive Gauche

Disneyland Paris Serris|1.53km from city center
I booked this hotel for the price and location. I was confident in my choice based upon reviews (on other sites); but became nervous after booking then reading TripAdvisor reviews. The bottom line is that the Sejours & Affaires Rive Gauche is basic and inexpensive, but by no means as bad as the negative reviews I’ve seen on TripAdvisor. If one understands that this is, essentially, a little above a Motel 6 (by American standards) and that one cannot expect all the frills or bells and whistles, then one will be satisfied. Positives: 1. Location - 5-10 minute walk to the Val d’Europe RER A train station (2-5minutes by train to Disneyland Paris); 5mins to Val d’Europe shopping center (groceries at Auchan); 5-8mins Über to Disneyland Paris if needed; about 35-45mins into Paris city center. 2. Plenty of hot water and water pressure; a kitchenette w/ cooktop, microwave, refrigerator, sink, and utensils; fully opening windows; a decent sized lift. 3. Friendly staff; they accommodated our early check-in by several hours despite having been full the previous night. 4. No evidence of bedbugs; little to no mold or mildew in the bathroom or shower; everything was maintained to at least basic standards; the room was insulated enough that we did not need heat even in January. Negatives: 1. The beds (two singles pushed together to make a double) were hard and not very comfortable. They also were not connected or fastened together and would slip apart. 2. Follow-through - we asked two separate days for an additional blanket, but never received it. 3. Street noise - with the windows closed, not a problem, but if you like fresh air and sleeping with open windows.... the hotel is directly across the street from a high school and on a bus line; and the Rue de Danube actually get quite a bit busier than I would have thought. 4. VERY SENSITIVE HOT WATER VALVE - the Sejours & Affaires has the HOTTEST water I have ever experienced in a hotel. My spouse bumped the shower water handle while showering and burned herself rather badly. The shower floor itself is also. VERY slippery (somewhat dangerous, I would say). 5. Television - if an English broadcast, such as CNN or BBC is important to you, then you will be disappointed with having only French channels. All in all, we got what we paid for (we booked directly and paid only €57/night for four nights). We were comfortable and our needs were met. On the other hand, when we stay in Serris again, we’d probably stay at Hotel l’Elysée or Relais Spa. We have also stayed at the Ibis Val d’Europe and were comfortable.

I was travelling single parent with 15,12,9 yr olds. The reception team are extremely friendly and welcoming and highly efficient. We were upgraded to another bed for free which is great because it meant my older two boys didn’t have to share a double. The bedroom had a double with sliding doors so at night my youngest and I could get to sleep a bit earlier than the boys. We could also still reach the shower room and toilet through our door and they could reach it through their door. The shower room had a bath with shower and a separate shower, very modern and worked well. Toiletries included and a good mirror. Towels were plentiful absolutely brilliant the amount of towels they gave soft and fluffy they also replaced these regularly without having to ask. The kitchen area was good we bought breakfast and snacks from the big supermarket inside the shopping mall (a few mins walk away) and had cereal and bread and yogurt in the mornings, it had a freezer section for ice lollies which was great in the heat. The location is perfect for Disneyland on a budget, you are 5 seconds walk from the entry train station to Disney and it’s one stop away! Coming home you exit the station just next to the shopping mall only another few mins walk. You use the ticket machine at train station keep your tickets for exit barriers. For x4 over 10 and x1 under 10 child ticket it was about 10 euros or less to get one way to Disneyland allow this in your budget as you will need this x2 a day for however long you stay. Can’t remember the prices for the train from the airport but at a guess again for x4 over ten and x1 under ten possibly 100 or so euros each way but done quote me. You get the train from the airport to chatelet les halles then swap to the local train to val deurope stop. On the way there we payed at the separate train stations but on the way back we purchased from the man in train ticket office and the ticket was valid for the whole journey including the switch at the station. Trains back from the parks well into 11.30pm didn’t try later but I’m assuming so as a lot of people are still Shopping at that time. The best part was my mum joined on to the holiday last minute and stayed at the ibis which is directly opposite this hotel (so is the ibis budget) we could even wave to her from our window (have included pic !) She then came over in the mornings for breakfast etc so another option if you can’t get enough rooms in this hotel book into the ibis. My mum said her room was clean and comfortable and very spacious too. I highly recommend staying at this hotel for staff friendliness, value for money and the best part location for Disney and the shopping mall and train stations. We will definitely return. Shout out to the maids who did a fantastic job daily thank you.

Hotel was clean, room was very small but we were only stopping over for one night with the 2 of us so not a problem. Heater was provided. Parking was free and found a space easily. We had dinner and drinks at the hotel which were lovely and the food was locally sourced. Football table and arcade machine were a fun touch and the theming was nice too. We had breakfast but due to covid restrictions in Nov21, there was no hot food but it was still enjoyable. Only issue was in the very early morning we had trouble opening our front door due to the damp weather and (I think) the door swelled slightly. Had to lean out the window and open it from the outside with the keycard. we saw another family struggling to get their door open too. Mentioned it to reception so hopefully this has been addressed now and no longer an issue. Would stay again due to amazing price and proximity to Disney if driving.

The hotel is situated right in front of Val D Europe! It was so convenient to head to Disneyland or even shop. The RER is only a 3-min walk too! The rooms are spacious, clean and modern! Staffs were friendly and even assist to book our taxi home. However, 1 of the night we called for room-serviced tmbut tge restaurant was busy. The receptionist mentioned that they will call back shortly but they never did. So we slept feeling hungry. The next few nights we packed food from the restaurants next to the hotel. There is a convenient store and cafes too.

Location provides free shuttle service to Disneyland but make sure to arrive earlier for the shuttle. The shuttle returns to hotel from Disneyland as well so it's convenient to travel back and forth. We stayed facing the lake so there were ducks in there in the morning and evenings, so look out for them (and hear their quacks) if you're staying there.
