Pokój był bardzo czysty i schludny, a hotel świetnie położony. Na parkingu hotelowym dostępne są szybkie ładowarki, co sprawia, że ładowanie jest wygodne i szybkie! Do tego prąd jest super tani, kosztuje tylko około 0,8 juana za kWh. Na pewno zatrzymam się tu ponownie podczas następnej podróży służbowej!

I stayed here for one night. I came here after leaving another hotel that wasn't good. I'm so glad that I came here instead. I really got such a good night's sleep. One of the hotel staff, Ekko, was extra helpful in answering my questions in English, allowing me to stay longer in the lobby while I waited for my friend and even offered me a bottle of water. He was very welcoming! The the bed is so comfortable and soft and the hotel is very clean. And the breakfast is also delicious. You also have a vending machine on the first floor that takes digital payment and a mini refrigerator in your room. There's also a smart TV with HDMI and screen mirroring. It's great value for money and it's also just a really comfortable place to stay. The interior design is really beautiful and eclectic. I think you'll have fun just hanging out in the lobby, good music playing, for a couple hours doing some work at one of the many sitting areas in the lobby, if you're a digital nomad like me. Really nice vibe!

The room is spacious, clean and modern. We picked this because of an event nearby but the neighbourhood is good enough with a shopping mall and restaurants. The only flaw is checkout time is noon but not sure why the room is locked already at 11am so we gotta go to the reception for help. But overall it’s totally worth of money.

The room was clean and hygienic, and the front desk staff and cleaning ladies were very warm and attentive. The breakfast was delicious, and bottled water was provided free of charge in the room. The staff proactively offered tea and greeted guests warmly. The air conditioning worked great. The lemon water at the front desk was also very refreshing.

Jest kilka miejsc, które nie do końca odpowiadały mojemu wrażeniu sprzed przyjazdu. Po pierwsze, hotel dzieli swój teren z hostelem młodzieżowym, a pokoje hotelowe znajdują się tylko na 9. piętrze. Aby dostać się na 9. piętro, trzeba najpierw wjechać windą na 8. piętro, a potem przesiąść się do innej windy. Było to niezwykle uciążliwe, zwłaszcza gdy trzeba było udać się do recepcji z jakąkolwiek sprawą. Pokoje są rozplanowane jak labirynt i łatwo było się w nim zgubić, zanim się w nim nie zadomowiło. Pierwszej nocy trafiłem do pokoju bez okien, w którym bardzo mocno pachniało olejkiem leczniczym. W pokoju było bardzo duszno, ale personel był na tyle uprzejmy, że przeniósł mnie do pokoju z oknem, choć był on znacznie mniejszy, bez krzeseł i szafy na ubrania. Podobało mi się, że w pokojach była pralka z suszarką, co było wygodnym sposobem na pranie ubrań w biegu. Siłownia znajdowała się w wydzielonej przestrzeni obok recepcji, co sprawiało, że ćwiczenia były bardzo dziwne i nienaturalne. Centrum handlowe, z którym połączony jest hotel, ma już za sobą lepsze czasy i wygląda raczej nijako, choć miło było mieć łatwy dostęp do supermarketu. Pracownicy byli generalnie mili i uczynni, choć łatwo ich było nie zauważyć, ponieważ często chowali się za zagraconą recepcją. Hotel znajduje się co najmniej 10-15 minut spacerem od najbliższej stacji metra, więc warto o tym pamiętać podczas rezerwacji.

I stayed at The Yard Hotel Shanghai in December 2025, and it feels very new, and it exceeded my expectations for a mid-range hotel in a lively local neighborhood. Everything felt sparkling clean and fresh – from the moment I stepped in, the warm, natural design tones (think soft woods, earthy colors, and subtle Japanese-inspired greenery) created a calm and relaxing atmosphere throughout the property. It’s the kind of place that instantly helps you unwind after a day exploring Shanghai. The lobby is spacious and inviting, with plenty of natural light, lush plants, comfortable sofas, and tables – perfect for chilling with a coffee or just people-watching. My room was generously sized for the price point – very clean, with a big comfy bed topped with four plush pillows, a large TV, and a decent-sized shower and toilet. The overall vibe continued the hotel’s natural, soothing aesthetic. One small tip for winter visitors: There’s a small window that opens by default for ventilation, which made the room feel quite chilly at first. Simply open the curtain and close the window tightly – problem solved! The only minor downside was the lack of hangers in the bathroom, which was a bit inconvenient for a family when showering and needing to dry clothes or towels. Staff were fantastic – always eager to help, greeting us warmly every time we passed by, and making us feel genuinely welcome. The cleaning staff lady help me out with my laundry as the machine are all in chinese. But the real highlight? The surrounding neighborhood! The hotel is embedded in a vibrant local area with a whole stretch of shophouses packed with food options and daily necessities. You’ll be spoilt for choice – from street eats to proper meals, it’s a foodie’s paradise right on your doorstep. Overall, The Yard Hotel offers great value with its modern renovation, serene design, and unbeatable location for experiencing authentic Shanghai neighborhood life. Highly recommended for travelers wanting comfort without the touristy feel – I’d definitely return! Rating: 5/5

The hotel location is within the Shanghai Korea street with many Korean eateries nearby to choose from. The hotel offers many free services like late checkout, free night porridge and guest laundry. You can leave your clothes with them and they will help wash it for you. The staff, especially the guy manager, are really helpful and got me a bigger room when I requested it. Overall, it’s a pretty comfortable stay.
