The air in the hotel was awful; after just one night, I developed an upper respiratory infection, a cold, fever, and headache. The carpets were incredibly dirty and smelly, and the hygiene was appalling. I don't understand why anyone would stay here or why it's recommended. However, both the hotel staff and the Trip.com employees had excellent attitudes. Whatever you do, do NOT stay at the Sheraton Shantou in Longguang if you go to Shantou; you'll just get sick!"

Step out and you're right on Paifang Street – it's a peaceful haven amidst the bustle, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the slow pace of ancient city life. ✨ **Extremely Attentive Butler Service** Before check-in, the butler proactively contacted me to confirm my arrival time. They arranged shuttle service within the ancient city, so I didn't have to worry about a thing. Upon arrival, a dedicated staff member helped carry my luggage to the room. They meticulously explained breakfast times, nearby attractions, and even the details of using the smart lock. The entire process was proactive, patient, and incredibly stress-free! 🌙 **Two Nights of Exclusive Turndown Service** Each day, I received a basket full of fresh welcome fruits. On the first night, there was a turndown inquiry service, a cute bear lollipop 🍭, and a sweet soup of coconut milk, oats, and Job's tears. On the second night, a refreshing and delicious mango pomelo sago. The auntie delivering these came in softly and quietly, not disturbing at all – it was super healing. All staff members I encountered greeted me proactively, showing exceptional warmth in their service. 💥 **Fantastic Free Upgrade** I booked three rooms (one twin, two king) a week in advance. Upon check-in, they proactively offered a free upgrade to a 122 sqm city-view terrace garden suite. This was truly generous! The quality felt incredibly elevated. 🛁 **High-Quality Hardware Configuration** The soundproofing throughout the room was excellent; it was quiet and peaceful at night, and the air conditioning was comfortable and noiseless. Daily amenities included 4 bottles of VOSS mineral water, plus dedicated mineral water for brewing tea. A capsule coffee machine, Dyson hairdryer, and soft-bristled toothbrushes were all provided. Bulgari toiletries and soft, skin-friendly bedding ensured even sensitive skin could enjoy a peaceful night's sleep. The wet/dry separated bathroom had ample hot water, with every detail showcasing high-end quality. 🍴 **Super Abundant and Special Breakfast** Breakfast perfectly blended Chaoshan specialties with popular tastes. Chaoshan staples like Kway Teow and Chee Cheong Fun were freshly made to order, authentic and delicious. There was also a full spread of coffee, toast, fried foods, fruits, porridge, and drinks. Breakfast felt fresh and exciting every single day. The elegant style of the ancient courtyard truly appealed to my aesthetic. The gentle and meticulous service, top-tier hardware, and incredibly generous upgrade allowed me to temporarily escape the city's hustle and bustle, finding complete relaxation and a fulfilling stay in a corner of the ancient city. #relaxinggetaway"

"To be honest, I had some reservations when booking this veteran hotel, mainly worried about outdated facilities. However, my stay completely exceeded expectations. The service was excellent, and while the overall decor reflects that typical Guangdong five-star style from the last century, everything was well-maintained. It had a charming, retro Cantonese vibe. The service staff were also very attentive. There's a Walmart across the street, and the nearby Maoji Beef Hotpot offers fantastic value for money. The dim sum at the third-floor tea restaurant is incredibly authentic. The only real downside is that it's a bit far from Xiaogongyuan (Small Park), but getting to Longyannan Road is very convenient. I genuinely recommend this hotel."
