"Great family hotel. It's been years that I haven't seen a silimar setup. Beautiful spaces, nice materials from the construction,decorations, till the cutlery. The rooms are wide, clean and well lit. Up in the corner of the hill, giving quite time and privacy, but walking distance from the city. Very rare to see all the staff being genuinly politeand accommodating. This is an unassuming three star apartment hotel with a price to match and my studio contained a small kitchenette with a hot plate and a fridge. The room was clean, quiet and had the basic amenities one might need for a short stay. The parking lot behind the hotel is free. Paid wireless internet service in the room is €5, 00 per hour. The hotel is located at a walking distance from the castle with medieval origins in the historic centre. The view over the marina and the beach is breathtaking. The staff were moderately friendly by European standards, but accommodating."

"Monte de Bemposta was a great way to ease into our two-week Portugal road trip adventure. My wife and I had a very relaxing two-night stay, opting for dinner on the deck the first night, consisting of a huge and sumptuous butterflied sea bass. Breakfasts were equally filling, including endless pastel de nata. Our secluded room backed to wildflower-filled fields with horses roaming. Horseback riding on the beach was a highlight. Suggestions for day tours were spot on. The western Atlantic coast is not to be missed with scenic coves, endless vistas, and picturesque towns. We highly recommend Monte de Bemposta."
