From an engineering point of view, I was really impressed with the wooden structure hotel. The hotel is new (2021) and is a striking landmark in the centre of Skelleftea. The receptionist was pleasant, easy check in and informative regarding the restaurants and facilities in the hotel. The interior is typical scandic, clean and simple and still has the pine wood fragrance. Our room was really nice, clean, simple, high tech and comfy bed. The view from our room was really good. We had dinner at the Mandel as part of our Weekend deal. The food was ok, but the service was bad, no smile or chit chat from the waiter. The restaurant was not busy, but seemed to take ages between dishes? The terrace outside the Mandel restaurant was really nice to sit outside having a drink, overlooking the town centre. The buffet breakfast was really good, with plenty of different choices. Overall, it was a tad expensive, but worth the experience.

The receptionist was pleasant, easy check in and informative regarding the restaurants and facilities in the hotel. The interior is typical scandic, clean and simple and still has the pine wood fragrance. Our room was really nice, clean, simple, high tech and comfy bed. The view from our room was really good. We had dinner at the Mandel as part of our Weekend deal. The food was ok, but the service was bad, no smile or chit chat from the waiter. The restaurant was not busy, but seemed to take ages between dishes? The terrace outside the Mandel restaurant was really nice to sit outside having a drink, overlooking the town centre. The buffet breakfast was really good, with plenty of different choices. Overall, it was a tad expensive, but worth the experience.

From an engineering point of view, I was really impressed with the wooden structure hotel. The hotel is new (2021) and is a striking landmark in the centre of Skelleftea. The receptionist was pleasant, easy check in and informative regarding the restaurants and facilities in the hotel. The interior is typical scandic, clean and simple and still has the pine wood fragrance. Our room was really nice, clean, simple, high tech and comfy bed. The view from our room was really good. We had dinner at the Mandel as part of our Weekend deal. The food was ok, but the service was bad, no smile or chit chat from the waiter. The restaurant was not busy, but seemed to take ages between dishes? The terrace outside the Mandel restaurant was really nice to sit outside having a drink, overlooking the town centre. The buffet breakfast was really good, with plenty of different choices. Overall, it was a tad expensive, but worth the experience.
