„A beautiful guesthouse, the rooms are beautiful too. Bed is big and comfy, very clean and the bathroom is modern despite how traditional the building is. Also has great heating if desired. The family that runs the guesthouse is so so sweet. Their food is also delicious and a great option for a quick breakfast (the buns are to die for). Excellent location. All in all would definitely come back and recommend this place.”

Postanowiliśmy wybrać się tam, gdzie temperatura wynosiła -2 stopnie, ale w pokoju było bardzo ciepło. Dzięki pomocy zakwaterowania cały wyjazd przebiegł gładko. Gorąco polecam, jeśli szukasz miejsca, gdzie mówi się po angielsku, jest czysto, wygodnie i niedrogo. Było wspaniale, obsługa była znakomita. Czysty, przestronny pokój, ciepła, nowoczesna toaleta i podgrzewana podłoga. Jak wyjaśniono, odbiór z Bramy Północnej przed wejściem do starożytnego miasta. Dostajesz więcej, niż zapłaciłeś. Wspaniała gościnność w Pingyao. Uwielbiam to i polecam każdemu, kto chce doświadczyć lokalnego stylu”

„If you want a more authentic experience than staying in a fancy hotel, this is your place. Mrs Liu (sp?) was so lovely and helpful. She speaks a bit of English and is very fast on the translation apps for what she doesn’t know. She gave us a map of the Ancient City and explained where we should visit. Every day she gave us water bottles. We stayed 2 nights. You can experience a kang bed here, in a cozy room in a quaint courtyard. It was quite firm but still comfortable. There is air con which was needed when we were there. The bathroom is small but we found that everything didn’t get wet, despite the small size of the room. The inn is on the “taxi-bus” route just off South Street. As it is a block from the Main Street it is significantly quieter as the honking of “taxi-buses” doesn’t happen as much in the alleyways. Just be careful to walk on the sides of the road as the mopeds and taxi-buses are electric so quiet, except for the honking which is loud and constant, and they drive quite fast for the size and busyness of the streets. There is plenty of food places just a short walk away from the hotel. The ancient city was a lot more touristy than we had expected. You need to prearrange with the innkeeper to organise a “taxi-bus” to pick you up from the South Gate. Regular cars are not allowed inside the city wall. We were dropped by the DiDi but it is too far and busy to walk with luggage to the inn. Mrs Liu and her husband helped us out with their mopeds. Not many “taxi-bus” drivers know the inn as it is a smaller private hotel, so make sure you have the address printed out to show them. The taxi-bus is 10RMB pp per ride and you can flag them down anywhere on the streets they are allowed on, but they may not want to go where you want to go, so just flag another one until you get one that agrees. You scan the drivers QR code to pay. Overall we enjoyed our stay at Pingyao Yunshu Inn.”

Despite not speaking the same language, they showed us around the room explaining that the bedsheets and towels are clean, where to find the sleepers, and how to turn on the hot water boiler. Then we presented our passports and we were offered dried red dates to taste. It went all smoothly. Very clean and quiet place.”

„酒店位於在平遙古城內，是標準的明清時代大宅子。離主街很近，步行不到50米就能到，外面各種大餐小吃的都不少。離小西門的城牆很近，走路上城牆也就7.8分鐘。出着小西門一路向南走大概15分鐘就到又見平遙劇場，總之步行到哪兒都特別方便。 因為沒在主街上，晚上睡覺反而特別安靜，不像主街上那麼吵鬧。 整個院子特別乾淨，佈置也舒服，老闆在院子裡佈置了搖搖馬，鞦韆，搖椅，不管大人還是小孩都可以好好放鬆。 房間裏的大炕，一家子睡着都不覺得擁擠。要夏天黃昏爬上宅子樓頂看夕陽下的全城景色，吹吹小風，肯定特別愜意。 老闆是年輕的小兩口，特別實在，報到的時候就拿着地圖講解哪些景點重點看，哪兒出哪兒進，特別周到。 推薦大家一定要去看又見平遙情景劇，真的很震撼。 本次旅行完美結束，祝老闆生意興隆。”

The bed support is good, the sound insulation performance is better than expected, and there is almost no interference by the corridor or the adjacent room at night, which is very important for people who value sleep quality. The overall non-smoking management of the hotel is also clearly done, and there is no smell of smoke in the public area. This is not easy to stay in China. The service staff is kind and responds quickly. Although it is not a high-end luxury hotel, the overall details can feel the level of brand management.
