I was unexpectedly stranded at Shenzhen North (Shenzhenbei) during the busy holiday season and urgently needed a place to stay. After comparing several listings on Trip.com, this hostel stood out based on its reviews, and it fully lived up to my expectations. The photos are accurate and reflect the property exactly as it is. The host prepared the bed sheets and pillowcases right in front of me, which immediately reassured me about the cleanliness. Everything was spotless and well maintained. Cleanliness is one of my top priorities when choosing accommodation because I value my health, and I felt completely comfortable staying here. I saw no pests or anything unhygienic, so if you’re concerned about that, you can rest easy. The host speaks basic English and was very welcoming. Since I had just traveled from Hong Kong Airport to Shenzhen North, he even kindly offered to show me around the area. There are plenty of food options nearby, I enjoyed Lanzhou noodles and stinky tofu just steps from the building. For clarification, the hostel is located inside an apartment building and operates in a dorm-style setup. Shoes are removed at the entrance, and guest slippers are provided. There is a comfortable common area with a sofa and dining table, free drinking water, and complimentary toiletries including a toothbrush and disposable towel, which was especially helpful since I had forgotten to pack one. The bathroom is modern and equipped with a Western-style sit-down toilet. Each bed has its own privacy curtain and personal light, which I appreciated. There are also power outlets conveniently located at each bed. Wi-Fi worked smoothly without any issues, and free laundry is available, which is a great bonus for travelers. There are designated quiet hours, so you can sleep comfortably. During my stay, it was peaceful and no one snored. The host even asked whether I snore, which shows he is considerate of all guests. The other guests were polite and respectful. I was the only foreigner staying there, and the rest were Chinese travelers who were likely in the same situation, unable to secure train tickets that night. The property is non-smoking, which I also appreciated. The only minor downside is for taller guests. I am 183 cm (6 ft), and I had to curl up slightly since the bed length appears to be around 180 cm. It was manageable, but something to keep in mind if you’re tall. The location is very convenient. It’s next to the train station, and you can easily take the subway if you have luggage. It only cost me 2 RMB to ride, so there’s really no need to take a taxi. In the morning, I bought pork steamed buns and soy milk from a nearby vendor, he was friendly, and the food was great. For $4, this was outstanding value. If you’re looking for a clean, affordable, and convenient place to stay near Shenzhen North, this is an excellent option. Do wpłaty depozytu nie jest potrzebny klucz. Miałem problem ze zwrotem. Wejście na pierwszym piętrze budynku jest obsługiwane przez kogoś z sąsiedztwa. Obiekt nie jest tak czysty, jak na zdjęciach. Łazienka z prysznicem i toaletą jest nieco dziwna. Mój pokój nie był wyposażony w poduszkę ani futon. Przyjazdy wcześnie rano nie są możliwe. Personel jest przyjazny, ale zdaje się nie rozumieć, że zagraniczni turyści znają język chiński, chińską kulturę, Alipay czy WeChat i nie mają chińskich telefonów ani kont. Dlatego ten obiekt jest idealny dla osób z dobrą znajomością języka chińskiego lub chińskich podróżników. Nie skorzystam z niego ponownie.

Smart room layout, a lot of open shelves to keep personal items organized. A shout-out to the cleaning lady who did a good job. Close to HaiYa Mall and subway station. Will stay again.

It’s also just a 5-minute stroll to the nearest subway station, making it easy to get around Shenzhen without needing taxis everywhere. Great for travelers relying on public transport. First Impressions and Facilities: 2/5 Advertised as a newly opened hotel, but by late 2025, it didn’t feel fresh or modern at all. The lobby is unusually located on the 7th floor, accessed via an elevator that’s just beside a larger neighboring hotel. The lift area felt dim and outdated compared to the brighter, more upscale vibe of the bigger property nearby. The lobby itself is compact, dimly lit, and lacks any welcoming or luxurious atmosphere—more functional than inviting. Room: 4/5 The room size was surprisingly generous for the price point in Shenzhen, where space often comes at a premium. It was very clean overall, with a large, comfortable bed topped with four plush pillows, perfect for a good night’s sleep. The big flat-screen TV was a nice touch, and the bathroom was decently sized with a good shower and separate toilet area. No complaints on comfort here. Service and Issues: 3/5 The major downside was a frustrating check-in experience. Using the hotel’s systems, the receptionist assigned me to a room that hadn’t been cleaned yet, it still reeked strongly of cigarette smoke and clearly wasn’t ready. I had to trek back down to the lobby (7th floor elevator and all) to get a new key and room assignment. This kind of mix-up feels avoidable and soured the arrival. Final Thoughts Nothing particularly stands out or excels at Future Hotel Shenzhen—it’s serviceable and clean in the rooms, with a solid location and value for money, but the dark, dated common areas, misleading “newly opened” vibe, and the room assignment error make it underwhelming. I wouldn’t skip Shenzhen altogether, but I’d definitely choose a different hotel next time I’m in the city. Suitable if you’re on a tight budget and prioritize location over polish.

The location is great. When you go out, you will easily be greeted with a lot of food and restaurant options. Train is also accessible. The front door is located infront of the street with cars so when you use didi, you can directly be dropped off into the front door. When we first came, we were confused cause the elevator can’t go up to 14th floor. Apparently, there are 3 elevators in the first floor but only 2 on the left can be used to go up to 14th floor. The right elevator wont open at the 14th floor because it is where the reception of the hotel is placed. When we went, we were asked if we are okay with one computer only. As someone who wasn’t planning to use the PC, I said it’s okay. However, when we went to the room, having 1 computer also meant we got the smaller room cut. I was so frustrated cause I read all reviews of a lot of hotels and really searched for a big cut room because we have big luggages and we were there for Christmas. I pipped on a room that was vacant when we checked in and it was a lot bigger than our room (same room type, just no pole and have 2 PCs) Mostly because our room also has this huge building pole that consumed a lot of space also. The reception was nice and friendly though. She helped us carry our bags. However, the room itself was clean but you can smell the particles/dust of smoke that the previous user left. It isn’t direct smoke smell but as someone who is very allergic to smoke, our nose can pick up the particles itself like the dust that came from the cigar specially in the computer chair. So it didn’t smell like cigar but the particles left made us allergic and sneezing for the entire stay. I told the reception the next day and they cleaned and used a device to remove smoke in the room. I really appreciated this since it lessen out sneezing throughout the night. However, the smoke smell was evident when you go out of the room. Most probably because other guests are smoking outside or at the reception itself. Kind of sad because it says in the listing that this property was a non-smoking room. Which if they said that someone is able to smoke, I wouldn’t even consider the property in the first place. Contrary to other reviews, I saw a robot in the basement that was able to deliver food by itself. I’m not sure if it can go up to the hotel because we didn’t try but the robot was functioning and was able to deliver food in other floors. Overall, the stay was great. Amenities were there such as shampoo, soap, toothbrush, slippers, bathrobe and others. Just frustrated because we got a smaller room cut (the image looks big because of mirrors) and smells like cigar even though I also noted in my booking that I have a very bad allergy towards cigarette. Oh, and the other reviews were right, if you are sensitive to noise, you need to double think before booking because the cars and the street noise can really be heard in the room. For someone who is not sensitive to noise that much, it wasn’t a concern for me. The pillows and bed was great and comfortable :) There’s also a refrigerator in the room.

Niezależnie od tego, czy przyjeżdżasz do miasta w celach biznesowych, czy turystycznych, hotel zapewnia doskonały dostęp do pobliskich atrakcji i lokalnych restauracji. Zameldowanie/wymeldowanie: ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ Zameldowanie przebiegło szybko, a personel był przyjazny i gościnny. Proces przebiegł sprawnie i nie napotkałem żadnych problemów. To samo dotyczy wymeldowania — było proste i bezproblemowe. Personel był pomocny i upewnił się, że mam wszystko, czego potrzebuję do bezproblemowego wyjazdu. Jakość pokoju: ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ Sam pokój był bardzo czysty i wygodny. Doceniłem nowoczesny wystrój i udogodnienia, takie jak bezpłatne Wi-Fi i telewizor z płaskim ekranem. Łóżko było wygodne, co zapewniało spokojny sen. Jedynym drobnym minusem był nieco mniejszy pokój niż się spodziewałem, ale nie wpływało to znacząco na ogólny komfort. Obsługa personelu: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Personel Estay Residence naprawdę się wyróżniał. Od recepcji po personel sprzątający, wszyscy byli niesamowicie przyjaźni i pomocni. Zrobili wszystko, co w ich mocy, abym miał wszystko, czego potrzebowałem, a ich lokalne rekomendacje były trafne. Czułem się zaopiekowany przez cały pobyt. Udogodnienia: ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ Chociaż Estay Residence nie oferuje oszałamiającego wyboru udogodnień (na przykład basenu czy siłowni), to podstawowe udogodnienia były w pełni zapewnione. Był mały salonik, a śniadanie było wliczone w cenę, co było miłym akcentem. Widać, że skupiają się na zapewnieniu wysokiej jakości pobytu, a nie na mnóstwie dodatkowych udogodnień. Stosunek jakości do ceny: ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ Biorąc pod uwagę cenę, uważam, że Estay Residence oferuje dobry stosunek jakości do ceny. Lokalizacja, czystość i poziom usług sprawiają, że jest to doskonały wybór dla podróżnych szukających komfortowego i niedrogiego pobytu. Nie było żadnych ukrytych opłat i czułem, że otrzymałem to, za co zapłaciłem. Ogólne wrażenia: ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ Zdecydowanie polecam Estay Residence każdemu, kto odwiedza ten region. Choć może nie oferuje wszystkich luksusowych udogodnień, to solidny, zadbany hotel z przyjazną obsługą i doskonałą obsługą. Jest idealny dla osób poszukujących przytulnego i wygodnego miejsca na pobyt, które nie nadwyręży ich budżetu.

The Owners kind and friendly, event help us top up Alipay, He give us the best thing He can prepare. Recommend place to stay. From Metro Hubei exit C just walk 2building 50-70meter than turn right 30meter will find the Apartment and ask the security to Jufuyuan, they will help to the front desk at floors 17th. Dongmen Pedestrian Street is walking distance and you can find everything you want.

Me and my family enjoyed staying at this hotel. It was clean, comfortable , great location near the metro, plenty of restaurants and close to the mall. Truly enjoyed staying and will go back again.

Udogodnienia: kompletne, ale niektóre pokoje czteroosobowe nie mają okien, a klimatyzacja nie jest włączana w nocy. Higiena: OK Środowisko: Ogólne Obsługa: Niezbyt dobra. Przesłali nam tylko kod i poprosili, żebyśmy sami znaleźli pokój. Miejsce, w którym mieszkaliśmy, nie znajdowało się na tym samym piętrze co recepcja, więc musieliśmy jeździć windą w górę i w dół, co było trochę uciążliwe.
