Golden Club Cabanas

"Leaving this lovely hotel and resort today after another 2 weeks of complete relaxation and great weather. We wish we were staying longer and have already decided to make it 3 weeks next September! The reception staff are extremely helpful and we must give a big shout out to David, who went above and beyond to help us with a problem we had with Ryanair. He was brilliant! There are two large pools, one ideal for families and young children and the other one is quieter for those of us who have had our children and prefer just to relax. The grounds are beautiful and kept very clean. We cannot comment on the food as we prefer to eat out every night. There are numerous cafes and restaurants just a 5 - 10 min level walk to the village of Cabanas which is lovely. We particularly loved the steaks in Assurae (not sure of spelling), breakfast at Murphy’s Bar and Nuno does the best beer!! We stayed in Studio Sunrise apartment which was clean and adequate for our purposes. See you next September Cabanas hotel!!"

"We took the cooking class in this hotel and wish we would have stayed there for our trip. This place was one of the highlights of our trip to the Algarve. The owner is passionate about sustainable farming. She's actively expanding the farm that has been in her family, now, for three generations. It was a small number of students, five. She taught us traditional Portuguese recipes, including fresh seafood cataplanos. At the end of the class, we ate with our new friends on a beautiful terrace next to her bed & breakfast. All of our dinner companions, guests at the B&B, raved about their stay there. "

Casa do Postigo

"The first night they went out by the bathroom, the owner supposedly smoked. The next night they started out by the hall. For the third night we no longer stayed as there were hormigs up to bed. I still expect you to return the cost of last night."
