"We received a warm welcome and had booked two queen-size and one king-size, the latter with a river view. You really had to look very closely to see even a bit of the river. The room was also quite a bit smaller than the queen-size and had sloping walls, meaning you had to be careful, especially in the dark. Unfortunately, there was no coffee in the room, but the breakfast was fine. The city center is within walking distance, making it a great base. It was disappointing, however, that our rooms hadn't been cleaned after we returned from the city. No clean towels was the least pleasant problem, but fortunately, the reception was kind enough to provide them."

Bardzo piękna pogoda pomogła nam korzystać z bardzo pięknie zaprojektowanego ogrodu piwa codziennie po naszych rozległych wycieczkach w i wokół Trier. Ciepła i zrelaksowana atmosfera w całym hotelu bardzo dobrze nas cieszyła. Pracownicy i służba byli bardzo ostrożni i przyjaźni. Piwo domowe, szczególnie ciemne, bardzo dobrze nas smakowało. Również na śniadanie nie brakowało nic. Rezerwacja online stołu na kolację czuła się bardzo przydatna. Na kolacji byliśmy bardzo ładnie posłużeni i również pysznie zjedli. Dziękuję za piękny czas!"

"I can truthfully say the only good thing about this hotel is the location. For the rest its a complete disaster! This hotel is very basic the rooms were clean but very cheaply done. When we opened our sons bedroom window it opened to roof space which was absolutely disgusting ( please see photos) Bird excrement everywhere with an old beer bottle with mould growing. This is not hygienic also for breathing. The rooms have no airconditioning and it was stifling hot . I asked the lady if she had any fans but we didn't get a reply. For the amount of money the rooms cost you would think that the rooms would have at least a little fan. We paid for family room and a triple room €298 + € 73.50 for breackfast (5 adults + 2 children) The Breakfast is also nothing to speak about ,very Sparse. I would definitely not recommend this hotel!"

There’s some mold in the bathroom, and the bed itself wasn’t comfortable. In general, it was a nice experience! I’d recommend for solo and couples as well!"

"Dom gości jest na zewnątrz - ale pięknie położony. Lokalna jest bardzo tradycyjna - 1 ogromny pokój gościnny. Jedzenie czegoś ponad średnio pyszne i gotowane i serwowane z dużą miłością. Jednakże było bardzo!! głośno i niepokojące przez cały czas. To nie było przyjemne. Goście domowi (dzieci), byli bardzo wysiłkowani, byli ciągle wybuchnięci i po prostu nie byli ściśnięci. Dzieci nie mogły być przywiezione do cichego prawa. To było po prostu wysiłkowe. To było wiadomo przez e-mail, ale niestety nikt nie podpisał ani nie przeprosił. To jest złe. Powinno się wypowiedzieć słowo mocy. Dlatego nie chciałem dłużej uszkodzeń."

"We were there with a group of women to explore Trier for a few days. The location of the hotel is great. But that was it. There is a terrace and a bar. We were not allowed to go onto the terrace because we would have made the floor dirty when we came back in. It was also not well maintained, even though it was May/June. Breakfast only starts at 8:30 a.m. and ends at 10:30 a.m. according to the hotel lady. However, breakfast was always cleared away at 10:00 a.m. After breakfast, you can no longer get coffee, even if you ask nicely. From then on, you can't sit anywhere in the hotel with a group. You couldn't use the advertised bar either. It was not manned due to a lack of staff. The rooms are small and functional, but the cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired in some places. Our group was repeatedly insulted by the hotel lady. Neighbors and various waiters in Trier confirm to us that it is unfortunately well known that the Astoria is not a good place to stay in Trier. It's a shame, but if you're looking for accommodation in Trier, you should stay somewhere else!"
