"Pobyt w tym hotelu sprawił, że poczuliśmy się trochę zmęczeni. Pokój, reklama, jak posiadanie łóżko wielkości króla, rozczarowanie okazało się podwójnym. Pomimo podkreślenia hotelu na zielone wybory, pokój był nie do zniesienia ciepły po przyjeździe. Musieliśmy otworzyć zarówno okna, jak i drzwi, aby go ochłodzić. Ten brak podstawowego komfortu wydawał się przeciwintuicyjny dla ich eko-świadomości marki. Ponadto niewiele, ale kluczowych udogodnień było niedostępne, takich jak suszarka do włosów, a niektóre światła nie działały. Brak telefonu w pokoju oznaczał, że nie było łatwego sposobu na żądanie tych brakujących przedmiotów, co dodatkowo do ogólnego niewygody. Doświadczenie śniadania było równie rozczarowane, tzw. bufetem składało się z małego, choć przyjemnego, kontynentalnego śniadania. Jednakże, gdy zadajemy pytanie natychmiast po przyjeździe, czy chcemy zapłacić dodatkową kwotę 10 funtów za gotowane śniadanie, to ustawienie czuło się wprowadzające w błąd. W £ 14.50 śniadanie kontynentalne same nie czuło się jak dobra wartość.  Restauracja miała również zawiadomienie o opłatie £ 2.50 za zmiany menu. Podczas gdy rozumiem zasadę opłat, ta konkretna polityka czuła się nadmiernie i niedokładna. Te kwestie zostały pogłębione przez brak osobistych dotyków, które stanowią podstawę dobrej obsługi klienta. Nikt nie pytał na śniadanie, jak było naszym pobytem, mały, ale wpływowy gest, który mógł złagodzić niektóre z naszych rozczarowań. W reszcie czuję, że przepłaciłem około 20-30% w porównaniu z wartością, którą otrzymałem. Wiedząc, co teraz robię, prawdopodobnie nie wybrałbym tego hotelu na pobyt."

"The Green is a stunning house, beautifully and thoughtfully restored, but what really makes it special is the warmth and hospitality. The hosts seem to have perfected that lovely balance of being welcoming and attentive while allowing you to completely relax and enjoy their beautiful home. Our room (Larkspur) was extremely comfortable, with gorgeous bed linen, large fluffy white towels and hand and shower products that smelled divine. There are thoughtful touches everywhere, from the complimentary tea and biscuits when we arrived to the honesty bar…everything feels generous without being overdone. Breakfast was delicious and beautifully presented, starting with homemade granola and Earl Grey poached pears so good I was tempted to have seconds! It was one of those breakfasts where you could tell real thought had gone into every detail. And then there are the gardens. We loved wandering around them in the morning, discovering the beautiful trees and planting, the Victorian kitchen garden and even purple tomatoes! The whole setting is peaceful and rather magical. We only stayed for one night and genuinely wished it had been longer. The Green is one of those rare places that feels both special and wonderfully relaxed. We would return in a heartbeat.
