"Facilities: The bathroom door faces the bed. Because the room is too small, the bathroom door can't be fully opened; it hits the bed when opened halfway. Cleanliness: Average. There was a very strong oxalic acid smell in the bathroom, probably from cleaning stains. Environment: Poor soundproofing. A party was going on in the next building late at night, causing a lot of disturbance. I woke up in the middle of the night and couldn't sleep. Service: Breakfast was decent; at least there was bread and coffee. However, the front desk tried to charge me city tax twice. I checked in the night before, and a female receptionist collected the city tax from me. The next morning, when I checked out, a male receptionist demanded I pay the city tax, claiming he couldn't see any record of my payment from the previous night. Luckily, I had kept the receipt and showed it to him. I told him he should check with his colleague to see why there was no record of payment. Overall, my experience staying in hotels in Paris has always been poor, and this time was no exception—predictably unsatisfactory."
