Very friendly staff, clean and comfortable rooms and an excellent buffet breakfast. Some car parking is available in the hotel’s own underground garage which is useful given it’s at an absolute premium elsewehere in Vichy. It’s easy to see why this hotel is ranked number one in Vichy and can highly recommend."

"This family run hotel has recently been acquired by new owners who have completely turned the place around. It is in the middle of changing name from Castel Louis to Belle Étoile. Adeline welcomes you warmly and will help with any enquiries. There are 3 floors of bedrooms, ranging from single to family rooms for 4, all redecorated and with brand new shower rooms, Smart vinyl flooring. Comfortable beds. They are still making improvements. Our group of 11 adults and two children occupied 7 rooms between us! Everyone was really happy and comfortable. We took photos of some of the different rooms. Breakfast is served as a help yourself buffet -sweet and savoury- and all the baked goods are made on site. Nearby roadside parking is free. The hotel is well situated between the river Allier and the town centre. Highly recommend !"
