"We were upgraded which was nice, the view from our bed was lovely. We couldn’t get food either nights, I think the manager missed a trick here not informing us in advance but he just didn’t seem too interested! The staff were pretty elusive overall, the girls at breakfast were lovely though & helped us with the buses (although the buses weren’t reliable & we ended up depending on taxis)."

"We had a very comfortable and relaxing night at the hotel. We had dinner which was delicious. Our server Sonya was so welcoming and made sure our 11 year old son had a meal option that excited him. The room was cozy and quiet. We had a wonderful sleep. After a long day of hiking the warm shower and comfortable room were so appreciated. Breakfast the next morning was made up of salmon and meat smoked on site, homemade jam. It was fresh and delicious."

"Room are very nice. However, there are NO restaurants in the area and we tried a week in advance to make a reservation at the hotel restaurant for dinner and they would not give us a reservation. They said that they were booked. So we had no food. For that reason I cannot recommend it."

"We loved visiting Store Ringheim and wish we could've stayed longer! The property is beautiful and I love the generational family history of it. The meals were all excellent and we tried Aquavit (special Norwegian liquor) here for the first time at dinner. We had a large, cozy room with a wood-burning fireplace. The owner was kind enough to give us a ride to the Voss train station in the morning. Overall wonderful experience. Thank you for hosting us!"
