"My husband and I stayed 4 nights. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The owner shared a lot of information about activities, restaurants, hikes, and had a book with photos and descriptions. The location was ideal with a large garden with tables, a firepit, and walking distance to groceries, restaurants. The breakfast was delicious with items you could order and buffet style food as well. They have an "honesty' bar with drinks you just write down what you take. By the pool is a barbeque area- the owner was quite gracious giving us dishes and everything needed for the Braai. We saw a baboon in the garden. We spent time inTsitsikamma National Park, hiked in the area of the the very old Big Tree, and spent a stunning day on the beach at Natures Valley. "

"Beautiful hotel and rooms. Very quiet and tranquil with beautiful views of the mountains and able to see animals from the balcony. The staff was very attentive and always around to help. The food was very good although took some time to come out but might be because it was Christmas. Took a hike and walk to see many different type of animals. It was kind of expensive when there aren't that many activities to do while there. Once they update their game drive vehicle to work again and start doing some daily inclusive activities then I would be back. We didn't go to the spa so I would look at doing that next time."

"We called to ask if they took no resort walk in clients at their resturant were advised they do. We drove from Cannon Rocks to go for lunch at the gate we woke up the security who called in to confirm we had a “reservation” we knew we had called and been advised we could walk in. After 5 min wait at the gate feeling stupid we were told we can’t get in. We called again from the gate and advised we had driven and were told we needed a reservation and could not come in without one as-well as we needed to pay a deposit to confirm booking. Well will never come again and will advise all travelers and friends to avoid the bad attitude and arrogance of this place and staff"

Zarezerwowaliśmy kolację w obie noce - 4 kursy, wybory są podejmowane po śniadaniu. Byłyśmy również na dysku gier Addo, który jest zestawem o 8:00. To 25km jazdy do parku w Boskim ciężarówce. Twój kierowca jest przewodnikiem (zabierz swój drink i złóż kurtkę na chłodniejsze dni). Obiad jest dostarczany przez hotel, który był bardzo wypełniony. Droga do hotelu jest nie wykonana, więc uważaj, jeśli w wynajętym samochodzie, również wiele pracy drogowej w okolicy, więc pozwalaj na dodatkowe czas. "

"Amazing lodge right at the heart of the Amakhala game reserve. From the moment you arrive to the moment you leave, you are made to feel very welcome and special in this beautiful location. The team here are excellent - friendly, warm, and delivering the highest levels of service. Special mention to Oli and Elvis. BBQ night and amazing singing and dancing from the team were a particular highlight. Game drives were brilliant - Tim was an excellent ranger and we saw everything we could hope to see. Highly recommend."

"The overall welcome and hospitality the staff demonstrate, cannot be faulted in any way whatsoever - the entire team goes above and beyond to ensure you feel both very welcome and well cared for. However the buildings, the pool area and the rooms are extremely shabby and in need of significant maintenance and upkeep. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable , but the room is both shabby and tired , and the bathroom is in desperate need of a refresh. The food and the dining experience was excellent! The food was of a very high standard, as was the service - we had outstanding service from Moses and Ntombi. The pool is, in our opinion, unusable, which was disappointing for us in 34deg heat. We swam the first day, believing it just needed a paint, but it had slimy algae on the bottom of the pool and steps. We didn’t use it again. The guide,Roland was absolutely brilliant! Very knowledgeable and professional. What made our stay so enjoyable was the interaction with the staff but the standard of the accommodation needs considerable work."

"Wow what amazing place. It was like a Mediterranean island in the middle of the Eastern Cape. A short 1 hour drive and we felt like we left the country. Beautiful well taken care of and clean facilities. Our unit even had a splash pool outside by the braai area and patio. Walking distance to the beach and an amazing Restaurant with great food and staff. Reception is such a pleasure to deal with and even a great little shop with all the last minute goodies that you might need. A must visit for anyone. We are sorry we did not stay longer. Definitely will be back."

"St Francis Bay is such a lovely small town and The Sands has a fabulous setting overlooking the ocean. Everything is perfect and the staff all work incredibly hard to deliver great service with a smile. The dinners in the evening surpassed our expectation. The quality and choice could not be faulted and, with an impressive wine list too, it was so nice to sit in the small restaurant hearing the waves below and chatting to your fellow diners. We stayed here about 6 years ago. It was lovely to be back again and I’m sure it won’t be our last visit. Thank you to everyone who made our 4 day stay so memorable. "

As surfers we really appreciated being so close to the surf spots - I just wish our room had a view of supers but it was slightly blocked by the rooms in front - but still its a very special place, the hosts and everyone working there were really on top of things.
