The large open-air bath overlooking Mt. Yufu has the best atmosphere. It's warm, so you can soak in it leisurely. For men, there is already a １ or a small open-air bath that is hot and can be used by the bridge. I stayed in the main building. It is a building with a considerable age, and although it is undeniably old, the toilet has been renovated and cleaned well. The dishes were basic plans, so there were no high-class ingredients, but I was satisfied with the contents that I could feel politeness. Finally, the response of the employees was very good and made the impression of this inn very good.

There are cleaning, but for the price of the room, including other amenities, it was .... 【Bath】 Small towels are prepared in the public bath, so you don't need to use wet things. There are few amenities in the dressing room. [Meal] Private room in the dining hall with evening breakfast. Dinner and Bungo beef steak were soft and delicious. When I entered the private room, I was already prepared for sashimi and baked fish on the table. There may be corona measures, but the baked fish was cold, so it was a little disappointing. There was breakfast, hot tofu and specialty ryukyu. There was a matcha and sweet service at check-in. It is good to spend a leisurely time walking to Lake Jinxi. I just felt that it was not as expensive.

We booked 2x Japanese rooms for 3 nights, over the rugby period. Obviously all hotels were charging a premium, but having booked 12 months in advance, at a cost of virtually £2,000 (excluding breakfast and dinner), I expected the hotel to be pretty good. The staff were very pleasant, but the communication was a problem - appreciate that this is our fault as much as theirs! The rooms were very shabby in our opinion, the furniture was badly marked and it didn't seem very clean. The worst problem was the smell in one of the rooms though, the staff told us it was from the tatami matting, but it clearly wasn't, as the other room had the same floorcovering and didn't smell. We ended up thinking it was the drains - but it was very unpleasant. The bathroom was pretty basic, and not well maintained - dirty grout around the tub etc. We stayed at 5 other hotels in Japan, and generally the standard was as expected - this was the only disappointment when considering cost vs. quality. The futons were more comfortable that I had expected - I slept really well.

I was satisfied with the local menu of Oita Prefecture, including dango soup. There are two indoor baths in the large hot spring bath with a spacious space. There is also a whirlpool bath and a Louis Bosti hot water of the incense hot water. The open-air bath has natural rocks on the side facing the garden. The hot water temperature is a little hot and has a feeling of slimy. What is it in the indoor bath! Yunohana. Yunohana, which crystallized the hot spring ingredients, was in bloom in the bathtub. The hot spring is a good proof. I was able to stay at this hot spring inn and became a good memory of my husband and wife trip.

I chose Yufuin Yubel Hotel this time after looking at the reviews. The evaluation score was 2.5 points, rounded up to 3 points. The location was deep within Lake Kinrinko and within walking distance of Yunotsubo Kaido. I left my luggage at the hotel and headed out for a walk, but on the day of my stay, many of the shops on Yunotsubo Kaido were closed due to heavy rain from yesterday. However, there were many tourists from overseas due to tour schedules. Pull up from your stroll and check in! After taking a bath in the room and resting for a while, we headed to the dinner venue. I received the appearance of Seki horse mackerel. At other onjukus, Seki horse mackerel and Seki mackerel have a certification label that is a branded product, but Yufuin Yubell did not have any labeling. There was a menu, but there was no explanation from the serving staff. I felt disappointed. The next morning, I was waiting for rice and miso soup to be served for breakfast, but they never served it, so I got impatient and rang the doorbell to have it served. I felt uncomfortable since this morning.

It is not easy to reach the hotel without a GPS. This makes it a hidden gem. The highlight of the hotel is definitely the private onsen. The size of the onsen can accommodate two people and the water temperature is just perfect. The onsen overlooks the fields and privacy is well preserved.

The check in process was ”smart check-in”, where guests receive the passcode to the room via email. Unfortunately, I didn't receive any email (not in junk/spam either), and was stuck outside the room, trying to call a call center that had already closed for the day. There was also no reply to the email I had sent via the Trip app. In the end, I had to ask the guest staying in another room for the phone number of the person directly in-charge of the facility, so that I could call them to get the password and check-in code. The facility exceeded my expectations, but the check-in process due to the missing email was too stressful and unpleasant. I may use the facility again, but I will book it through another app to prevent such problems again.

The hotel is a hot spring hotel. It is said that it has a history of 150 years. I only found out that it is a new building after I arrived. The transportation is convenient. It is about 5 minutes' walk from Yufuin Station! It's not convenient to go to the old restaurant for dinner! It takes about 10 minutes to walk from the new building to the old building, and it's not easy to find at night! I thought the dinner was Japanese cuisine, but I didn't expect it to be a barbecue dinner! A little disappointed! There are only 3 hot springs ♨️, you need to scan the QR code to see if they are free. At night, there are too many people, and you have to wait for a long time to soak in the hot springs ♨️! Because it was located in a quiet place, I felt a quiet rural atmosphere. It may feel far away because it is located at the end of an uphill road from the station, but it is located right in front of Kinrinko Lake, a famous spot in Yufuin. However, we wanted to reserve a place with a private bath on the first floor. They said it was already full..! Oh my gosh,, An open-air bath that can be reserved for 1 hour and used privately. I made a reservation at night and used it, so there was actually no inconvenience! Also, we all go to the shared public bath early in the morning. Since it was just my family, it was also unintentionally private. As expected from Yufuin, the hot spring water was very good and neat and clean. Even when checking out, the owner greeted me kindly. Even if Jim Carrey is carried to the first floor just like the first time... I'm really touched in many ways,,,🥹 There are many ryokans in Yufuin, but this is a really great ryokan for the price. Next time I visit again, I want to experience the first floor as well. I'm planning to re-book ㅜㅠㅠ It was such a friendly experience,, And there is a soba restaurant with the same name right next to the bathhouse. It looks like they only sell lunch, but this place is also really good and there is a long wait, which is a shame since it is located right next door. 🤭

I bought a room (twin room) from trip.com for HK$582. This price is really the same as Yufuin. Maybe the youth hostel may be cheaper than it. This hotel is definitely a B-class hotel with a very high CP value. He has! temperature! spring! . There are two indoor hot springs, which guests can use in turn. They are first-come, first-served. You can enter by looking at the sign at the door. There is no need to make an appointment or pay extra. You can soak as many times as you want (remember it is about 45 each time). Just a few minutes (just don’t make others wait too long, and the hot spring water is very hot, so you can’t actually soak in it for that long). There are only a few rooms in total, so you don’t have to worry about queuing for a long time. The plan does not include breakfast and dinner, but it is not a bad thing for me, because there are many delicious food in Yufuin, and many of them are open until very late. That night I went to ”Yakiniku Wasaku” to eat wagyu yakisoba. In fact, there is no need to pay 3 times. One money and two meals. Disadvantages of the hotel: The WiFi is slow, the room facilities are simple (you play and eat in Yufuin at noon, and come back to the hot springs in the evening. You only go to the room to sleep, which I personally don’t think is a big problem). It is a long way from the JR station (the scenery along the way is ok) ), the hotel does not provide toothpaste and toothbrush bristle, please get more from the previous hotel.
