„I was completely ‘WOW’ by the services and the cleanliness of my rooms during my stay at Shangri La Nanchang. The cleaners who cleaned my rooms were consistent in maintaining clean and sparkling surface top of my rooms. We were given connecting rooms (2713 & 2714) which made it easier for me to walk over to my children without stepping out of my room in my pyjamas. Manager Mr Hank Zhang ensured my stay was pleasant, convenient and enjoyable for me as he knew that I was staying there for 5D4N with my 3 children. Counter staff Ms Ava Li was friendly and professional in handling my request with thoughtful act and professionalism. Thank you to all the staff in Shangri La Nanchang for making my last lap of the China trip a pleasant, enjoyable and comfortable stay from 21 to 25 December 2024. I would strongly recommending EVERYONE to stay at Shangri La Nanchang. Lastly, the bell boy and traffic control staff were always helpful and friendly in treating every guest with respect. „Extended Stay Benefits - Breakfast: The breakfast selection was incredibly rich! I got to try Nanchang boiled dumplings, mixed rice noodles, and jarred soup. Location: The location is excellent! It's very close to Wanshou Palace, the August 1st Nanchang Uprising Memorial Hall, Jiangxi Provincial Museum, and Bayi Square. I chose to stay in a阁景 (pavilion view) twin room for two consecutive nights and could see the main pavilion and the Ferris wheel in the distance. „This is a great place! It's about a 15-minute taxi ride from Jingdezhen North Station. The hotel is in a very pleasant location, surrounded by many cafes. Since it's not super central, it's quite quiet. Getting to most attractions takes about 10 minutes by taxi. I went to the museum, Taoyang New Village, Taoxichuan, and Taoda Youth Market, and they were all about a ten-minute drive away. There are also bus stops nearby, and if you're not in a hurry, you can take a direct bus without transfers. There's a good variety of takeout options too, and delivery is quite fast. „This place is located in the village mountain where we can explore the village conveniently especially during early morning and evening where almost all people have already gone down the mountain which is quite peaceful and less crowded. „Overall the stay was not too bad due to the great service provided & the good food we enjoyed. Our only gripe was the terrible Room 101 we were initially given when we checked in. The room had obviously not been stayed in for a while. There were literally cobwebs in various corners of the room & the sofa & walls were quite stained. Worst of all, the water was brownish in color when we turned on the taps. This was definitely not the standard we expected given the premium we paid for the room. Thankfully we were immediately changed to another Room 105 upon calling the reception. The new room was thankfully clean although we had some issues connecting the TV due to an unplugged cable. The breakfast buffet was delicious & we had a great dinner at the hotel restaurant. There was also free laundry. Location was great - only a quick 10 to 15 minutes walk to the main street with tons of food. options.”

I really loved the simple and elegant decor of the room. The owner, an auntie, was incredibly warm and friendly! I'd give her a perfect 100! I stayed in the 'Xiao Man' room, which was newly renovated and really nice, plus it had smart home features throughout. The cleanliness was spotless, making my stay incredibly reassuring. The air conditioning was cool, and I slept soundly all night. The next day when we were leaving, we forgot something, and the auntie actually reminded us herself. I'll definitely choose this guesthouse again next time!!! This area is also a lot of fun, I highly recommend everyone to come and visit!!

Environment: The surrounding area boasts numerous dining options, supermarkets, bars, and late-night eateries. Takeaway services are also readily available, and you'll find no shortage of tea shops and cafes. The hotel itself features restaurants, and the breakfast spread offers a good variety with decent taste – truly comprehensive and satisfying. Service: Fantastic! The staff were very friendly and always smiling.👍 Facilities: A point to note for first-time visitors to Yichun – not all rooms at the hotel include hot spring tickets.

The lobster restaurant and barbecue restaurant next to it are both very good, and it's also right next to Dream Mall, which is really great. I recommend staying here. The front desk is also very quick to resolve issues without delay. The restaurant next to it is also very good, and the Gan Canteen is quite good. The environment was decent, and breakfast offered a good variety. Overall, the service was okay. However, the main drawback, likely due to management issues, was the poor elevator experience. Not only were there cigarette butts, but the long bench inside was covered in thick dust, as were other parts of the elevator. Upon entering the restroom, a strong smell of urine hit me. Since the room's door closer was faulty, and it was late, I decided to just deal with it and go to sleep. Around 5 AM, I was woken up by the noisy street outside. The room phone was useless, so I eventually had to call the front desk to get engineering to come fix it, which took over ten minutes. At breakfast, I had to look through more than ten cups, all of which were chipped. It was truly a very disappointing experience.

This guesthouse is a little bit away from the main scenic area, but it's still part of the overall attraction. The environment is absolutely fantastic—clean, tidy, and well-equipped. Because it's slightly removed from the central area, it's surprisingly quiet, even though earplugs are provided in the rooms. We had three people staying, but the breakfast was only set for two. They wanted an additional 98 RMB to add a breakfast for our child, which felt a bit stingy, especially since the breakfast quality, to be honest, wasn't worth 98 RMB. The hotel provides a special branded mineral water unique to the scenic area, called Wangxian Valley. It tastes pleasantly sweet, but unfortunately, you can't buy it anywhere else. One area that could use improvement is the electric cart service for luggage. I hope they can increase the frequency of rides or speed up the pick-up/drop-off service.

Traveling with family. Facilities: Parking right outside the door is very convenient, and it's downstairs. However, it's stairs, not an elevator, but for an overnight stay, just grabbing a toiletry bag is fine, so it's still quite convenient. Hygiene: The hygiene is quite good, and they even provide disposable toilet seat covers. Environment: The room is quite spacious, and the bed is very comfortable. Service: The owner is very welcoming.

We were very welcomed by the boss here in this place! The hotel is very clean and the breakfast is delicious. They provide free shuttle to the valley and also serve dinner and lunch for a very good price. We had dinner there when we arrived and the food was very tasty. The boss and her family are very nice and friendly. They also help us get a shared car back to the train station. I highly recommend this place!

This was by far the best part of our trip to China, this village was incredibly beautiful, we found ourselves snapping so many photos, it really was picture perfect everywhere you looked. Just to stay within the scenic area, was nice to wander around in the morning without the crowds. Sadly, because of all the rain we couldn't do the rafting which we were looking forward to. Only negative was the pool was a long way from the room, was quite a hike to get there and back. We splashed out on this one as it was quite expensive compared to everywhere else we stayed in China but was very worth it. Many thanks to Thomas who helped us with travel arrangements, one of the few hotel staff we found in China who spoke english.
