We had two rooms booked. 1 room was with elederly parents! The room given was a fair walk and was quite far from the reception area with no assistance only verbal directions. It would've been nice to have had some assistance from staff. When we got to the room the sink plughole was blocked so I rang reception to get it fixed, didn't happen! Questioned reception duty staff and he lied and he said he had it fixed by maintenance when no one even came to look at it! This isn't the service we expected from ‘Mercure’ standard. Leaning over the bath to brush our teeth and everytime we needed to wash our hands after using the toilet we had to use the bathtub. Not sure I read anywhere but to use the swimming facilities the adults have to pay £10 fee. Other than that the hotel is near local shops/motorway as well.

Hotel był czysty, ludzie byli przyjaźni, niedaleko wieży itp. Zdjęcia sprawiały, że pokój hotelowy wyglądał na większy niż jest w rzeczywistości, jest bardzo mały. Zapłaciłem za nocleg ze śniadaniem, gdybym wiedział, jak będzie wyglądało śniadanie, pominąłbym je. Dostajesz małe pokrojone pomidory z puszki, które nawet nie są gorące, wolałbym prawdziwego pomidora. Dostajesz małą miskę fasoli, która jest warta około łyżki stołowej. Smażony chleb nie jest nawet 1 kromką ani połową kromki, to ćwiartka. I 1 ziemniak. Tost też był zimny. Mała szklanka soku pomarańczowego i kawa. Z tego wszystkiego wypiłem pomarańczę, kawę i 1 kromkę tosta, nie mogłem zjeść reszty. Inni mogą to uznać za w porządku, ale nie dla mnie Telewizor nie działał i można było połączyć się z Wi-Fi tylko w recepcji. Za to personel był miły.

Cozy little inn, great atmosphere in a rural countryside location. Food was very good, the staff were friendly, and the room was clean. Can’t ask for anything more!

Stayed at the Barton Manor hotel and spa with my daughter….we had a wonderful time….from arriving to leaving the staff can’t do enough for you…the breakfast is really nice…we did not book into the restaurant for evening meal, but I was told by other guests…that the restaurant food was delicious. We will definitely be going back .

Lovely clean hotel, stayed for one night, the member of staff who checked me in was lovely, even though had issues with trip.com. Would recommend and stay again

Fair & Honest.   Negatives - 1) room (single with double bed) too small. 2) bar staff (gent) too cocky let the team down 3) no comeback when they checked my room out for cigarette smoke (from designated outside smoking area).    Positives -1) entertainment 1st class 2) all staff have obviously been well trained on how to respect customers.  3) very friendly holiday makers hotel  4) location

Great hotel, comfortable and clean.

Tje room jad everything we needed. Could have been perfect with bery little attention as paint and chrome peeling off of things in the bathroom, but didn't affect the cleanliness. Bed was comfy and sheets cleaned well. The hotel has a little café for the morning, but also the pub next door is great for food.

I can and do recommend this hotel. I stayed at the hotel for 17 nights. My room was on the ground floor and was very comfortable, there is not one thing that I can complain about. I got to know the staff, who were absolutely magnificent. They could have done nothing more to make me feel very welcome and at home. From the reception, bar, dining room, kitchen and housekeeping staff, they made me feel like I came home every evening when I got back to the hotel. They went out of their way for me. Thank you to Varun, Aniken, Jake, Vix and the rest of the staff. I can’t recommend Garner Samlesbury Hotel enough!!!

Overall, it was an amazing experience, aside from a few minor issues. **Positive:** 1. The location was good, although it was a short walk from town. However, there is a tram service that runs every 10 minutes, and the cost was £12 per day for three people, which provided unlimited travel for the whole day. 2. The breakfast was delicious and offered a wide variety of options to choose from. 3. The hotel environment was pleasant, featuring a nice reception and lobby area. 4. The room included a safe where you could store valuable items like your laptop and tablet for extra protection. **Negatives:** 1. Our toilet bin was not emptied after cleaning, and they forgot to replace the extra tissue roll in the bathroom, which was inconvenient. 2. There were no slippers or facial tissues provided in the room. 3. The bar was very quiet, and we were so bored that we didn't visit again.
