Super nice room with comfortable bed and big windows with a great view. Breakfast was very good and hotel only a 5-10min ferry ride away from Gothenburg center. Only minus was a quite expensive parking lot and booking might be needed in advance, to secure a spot.Definitely coming here again!

超級棒的酒店！建議定高級房30平方在北歐真的算很大的了，性價比很高，高級房浴缸和淋浴分開空間很足，雙洗手枱，整體很舒適。 洗漱用品味道很特別，瓶身上有“靜”字中文很親切。衞生很不錯，保潔人員也很好溝通，即使週末人多快滿房打掃也很快！ 早餐不錯，每層樓有免費的咖啡機，牛奶植物奶以及可頌，三明治，小點心隨意享用。這點很特別！不出酒店門就可以享受百年城堡建築的樂趣！ 屋頂游泳池據説不錯但沒去，下次可以試試！ 地理位置毋庸置疑，坐火車首選，火車站商業很方便超級多的餐飲和超市，住宿很方便！ 哥德堡不大，比較值得去的就是沃爾沃博物館和藝術博物館！ 特別提醒！這個城市秋冬天外號“小倫敦”，因為霧濛濛的，幾乎每天都會下雨！不過都是小雨，下一會停一會，最好帶個防水的硬殼防風衣套在羽絨服外面！特別重要！這樣不用帶傘啦！ 酒店二樓的餐廳！很好吃！侍酒師是意大利小夥很健談，對酒也很瞭解，推薦的配餐酒很不錯！住這個酒店直接去二樓吃晚餐會很不錯，套餐看了下也很便宜四五百瑞典克朗一個人吧三四道菜，但個人喜歡單點菜！推薦生牛肉塔塔很好吃！油炸洋薊也很好吃！比目魚也不錯！強烈推薦這個餐廳！ 餐廳也很有愛，週日晚上關門一天為了給哥德堡城市的流浪漢homeless提前過聖誕節感受温暖，所有餐廳廚師服務人員都去給他們做飯了！在大週末，果然是北歐風格！大讚！

Gut mit wenigen Einschränkungen Das Hotel  ist sehr zentral gelegen. Weiterhin positiv: ein gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis, sehr freundliche Mitarbeiterinnen, im Preis inkludiert ein Abendessen (ein Tagesgericht, Suppe und Salate vom Büffet, gut und reichlich) sowie Kaffee/Tee/Kakao plus Kuchen am Nachmittag. Negativ: ein kleines Zimmer, nachts stickig und ein schmales Bett (1,40m) mit sehr weicher Matratze. Das Zimmer war so klein, dass wir kaum aneinander vorbeikamen. Der Bitte über das Buchungsportal um zwei Einzelbetten und einen Hotelparkplatz wurde nicht entsprochen. Das Hotel hat auch nur eine eingeschränkte Anzahl an Parkplätzen, wir haben einen günstigen an der Universität gefunden, ca. 3 Minuten zu Fuss.

Pro Beautiful hotel, beautiful room, very high standard service by the staff clearly well trained in hospitality service. Staff are very professional, friendly and helpful. Shout out to Victoria who welcomed us upon our arrival and made our check in process a pleasure. She even let us in earlier than usual check in time as our room were ready early. Vey comfortable bed, nice ambient lighting. Good space with sofa and a few small table. Perfect location in the Central station on the first and second floor, so you can just jump from the hotel corridor to be on the ground floor (seriously, don't do this, just take the lift or escalator like a normal sane person:)) Not noisy at all in my room despite next to the train stop. Very well design sound proof room. Breakfast buffet was amazing, good rang of options even for someone like my family that only eat Halal food - various vegetarians and eggs suitable food. Luggage storage free of charge before check in or after checking out to help you enjoy Gothenburg without the need to carry your extra tonne of luggages. Sauna and gym are also available for the customers. Cons None really, for the price tag I think the hotel is perfect.

Overall, this hotel was a superb experience. We arrived around 18.00 in the evening after a long drive. Unfortunately some technical error in their system required us to wait in the lobby for about 30min, but we were swiftly compensated in the form of free parking and a complimentary prosecco in the room. The room itself was beautiful. Amazing view, very comfortable bed and TV placement, a very long bathtub. The only mild annoyance was that the bathroom light was finicky to turn on and adjust. The spa is a must-experience, especially after a long drive from one side of Sweden to the other. It was excellent; nothing to complain about. The best thing about Upper House however, is the breakfast. I have never had a better breakfast experience anywhere else in the world. I would gladly stay again just to eat their breakfast menu. Very excellent stay, great service and great food. A solid 9.5/10 experience.

There’s a certain warmth to the place that makes it stand out from the moment you walk through the doors. Friendly Staff Who Truly Welcome You What I noticed right away was how genuinely friendly the staff were. Every time we entered or walked past the front desk, we were greeted with a smile or a kind word. It’s such a simple gesture, but it created this feeling of being looked after, as if we were more than just passing guests. A Location That Balances Quiet and Convenience The hotel’s setting struck the perfect balance—peaceful and quiet, yet still so easy to get into the city center. It felt like we had the best of both worlds: calm evenings by the water, and the city’s energy just a short ride away. Beautiful Skyline and Water Views From the hotel, the view stretched across the skyline and the water, and it was just lovely. Whether it was morning light reflecting off the buildings or the soft glow in the evenings, those views gave the place a special atmosphere that I won’t forget. A Studio Room That Feels Like Home Our studio room came with a small kitchenette, and I can’t stress enough how handy that was. For a longer stay, being able to cook a simple meal or make a late tea added such a homely touch. The room itself felt modern and cozy, just right for settling in without feeling cramped. A Breakfast with Heart Breakfast was always a cheerful way to start the day, not just because of the food but because of the people. The breakfast chef, a lovely lady with beautiful red hair, had the warmest presence. She greeted everyone with such kindness that it set the tone for the rest of the day. Looking back, what made Clarion Hotel The Pier memorable wasn’t just the location or the facilities—it was the sense of care woven through the stay. Between the quiet setting, the beautiful views, the comfort of the room, and those daily warm greetings (especially at breakfast), the hotel managed to feel both professional and genuinely personal.

GGuest UserWe arrived at 7:30 pm and were told we got a room “upgrade”. The room was small so we really wondered what the “original” room looked like. The bed had stains on the cover that was laid under the mattress which didn’t look good. We went down to the lobby and found nobody present. We moved on to the restaurant, it was 8 pm. Half full and we were met with the wonderful advise that they were closed for service. This was Friday May 16th and the menu board was still at the entrance door to the restaurant. We went back to the reception and queried why the restaurant was not serving dinner at 8 pm on a Friday. The receptionist looked dumbfounded and told us it usually serves dinner at least until 9 pm but she took no action to assist us except to say we could walk fir 15 minutes to the Aveny, a street with lots of restaurants but could not suggest any close by. We ended up going to, as it happened, a fantastic restaurant right around the corner called Le Pigalle on the top floor of, we guess, a competing hotel. Fabulous meal in a restaurant that knew how to treat their guests. In short we have regretfully no positive things to say about the ProfilHotels Opera in Gothenburg. Gothenburg was fantastic but when we return we will definitely not book at the Opera which is overpriced for the standard and service they offer. Total waste of money at this venue. Regretfully we did not bother to take any pictures of the place as it is nothing we wish to remember about it.

This made arriving and departing effortless, and exploring the city using public transport was a breeze. The service I encountered throughout the hotel was consistently great. The staff were friendly, helpful, and always ready with a smile. Check-in and check-out were smooth and efficient, and any queries I had were addressed promptly and with genuine care. One of the highlights of my stay was undoubtedly the breakfast. The spread was impressive, offering a wide variety of options to suit all tastes. From fresh pastries and bread to a selection of hot dishes, cereals, fruits, and yogurts, there was something for everyone. The quality of the food was also noteworthy, making for a delightful start to each day. Overall, the Scandic Göteborg Central offered a comfortable and convenient base for my time in Gothenburg. Its perfect location near the central station, coupled with the great service and delicious breakfast, made for a memorable and enjoyable stay. I would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the city.

GGuest UserThis hotel is conveniently located at central station in Gothenburg. Very walkable and close to shopping and restaurants. The area is busy with lots of transit and people, bit the hotel is overall quiet. Breakfast is good with an assortment of items, but can get repetitive for longer stays as the food items are the same each day. The rooms are comfortable and good size with spacious bathrooms. The bathrooms are quite basic and needs upgrading as ours had some broken tiles across the corners. Overall a. Very good hotel that we'd stay in again.

LLKGPThe hotel’s location is excellent — just a short walk from the central station, which made getting around very convenient. However, I was disappointed by a few aspects of the stay. The hotel provides grey towels, which I found unappealing; white towels generally give a better sense of cleanliness. Breakfast was adequate, though some of the fruit offered was of poor quality. I also had concerns about the room’s cleanliness. After our first night, it didn’t seem like the room had been thoroughly cleaned — the drinking glasses we had used weren’t replaced, and some visible stains we had accidentally made were not wiped down. Additionally, the iron in the room tripped the power on both occasions we tried to use it, which was quite frustrating. The refrigerator in our room wasn’t working properly, so the drinks we stored inside remained warm. I also found the 11:00 a.m. checkout time to be inconvenient, as a later checkout would have allowed for a more relaxed departure.

However, there were a few aspects that fell short of expectations. Firstly, my room did not have a view of the street as I had hoped, but instead faced an inner atrium, which made it feel somewhat enclosed and less appealing. Additionally, I had booked a double room but was given a twin room instead, which was disappointing. The reception staff were not particularly friendly or welcoming, which affected the overall first impression. On a more positive note, the food in the restaurant was of satisfactory quality, and the selection was quite diverse. Overall, this is a solid hotel in a convenient location for city exploration, but the experience was far from memorable.

Then when checking out, we had 3 interactions with the reception about checking out prior to checking out. and only the one at 12:30 (when checking out with luggage and all), we were told to pay a 200SEK late-fee, which I was then told could’ve been even higher and that I should be thankful they didn’t charge me double… Not nice - and we had 3 interactions prior to this for this exact reason. I wanted to work out first and then shower in the room before leaving. If we were told the first time about the late check out fee; we would’ve checked out then and there. I complained about this practice, to deaf ears. Not coming back despite it being very nice and perfect for a Liseberg weekend with the family
