Great
MmammychefI took the cable car to Sarankot, it was a great experience. I had the carriage all to myself. I must say the staff were wonderful.. From the driver who picked me up at my hotel to the ticket staff, the boarding staff and exit staff I would recommend this to everyone going to Sarankot.
I stayed at The high Ground Hotel, it was basic, cheap (£12.00 per night) which included breakfast
My room was excellent and I had a nice view of lakeside from my small balcony
The room and private bathroom was was spotlessly clean.
The staff were wonderful, so helpful and very attentive.
Dinner was great, I tried sadako for the first time, I really enjoyed it after the initial shock of how spicy it was.
The only downside was the weather. It was very misty, so I didn't see the Annapurna Mountains at sunset. The morning was also misty however I did see the mountain a, even if it wasn't clear.

KKirstin MaryAn excellently located guest house. Just off the main road in central Lakeside yet so calm and peaceful. Quite unbelievable really. Beautiful gardens, spacious rooms and 2 min walk to the best section of the lake in this area.
Pratigya, one of the owners, helped me decide what trekking route to take and recommended some cool extra sections that turned out to be big highlights for me. She helped, advised and booked everything from buses, permits, taxis and masseuses and made sure I had her number for in case I ran into problems on my trek. As a solo female traveler this was extremely comforting. When I come back to do one of the treks that can only be done with a guide I will be contacting her and her husband.
I highly recommend Yeti guest house and especially the owners / hosts.

The hotel is located just down a small street, so it was quiet at night.
You could see the beautiful Machapuchare from the rooftop!
The only thing that was disappointing was that check-out time was said to be 12pm, even though trip.com said it was 1pm.
Please update the posted times.
As someone who works according to Japanese time, check-in and check-out times are very important to me.

AAnonymous UserMy second stay here. Boss was flexible, lovely and very helpful. It’s about 8 mins walk to the lakeside and 20 mins to the tourist bus stop. However, biggest downside is that there’s no hot water for this chilly winter weather, I tried for both the morning and evening and there was no water hence I didn’t get to have a proper shower.

AAnonymous UserThe room is very minimalist. I like it very much. The water pressure is very strong. The bathroom is compact. The owner, a woman and a man, are very kind and helpful. I asked to pay 500 Nepalese rupees per person to take a shower before leaving in the evening after checking out. You can also store your luggage for free for 30 days. I will stay again.

GGuest UserThis hotel is amazing! It's perfectly situated atop a hill, offering unparalleled views of Machapuchare (Fishtail Mountain) and the Annapurna range. The hotel's internal environment is also lovely – charmingly rustic and impeccably clean. The owner was incredibly warm and helpful, giving us great recommendations for nearby hiking trails and suggested itineraries. We had a wonderfully relaxing experience. This hotel is definitely worth revisiting, and I'd highly recommend staying for several days to simply unwind and soak in the snow-capped mountain views every day.
