As expected from a St. Regis, the location is excellent, very close to Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, and Barkhor Street. They have an independent underground parking garage with both slow and fast charging stations, which is incredibly important! The butler upgraded us to a beautiful, spacious suite, and the complimentary yak yogurt was delicious. The oxygen concentrator in the room was powerful and worked very well. Breakfast was rich and tasty. Ruth's service was exceptional. The drinks at the terrace bar were also great, and you can enjoy the night view of Potala Palace. Overall, it was a very comfortable stay.

My partner and I came to Lhasa and after a lot of searching, we finally settled on this hotel. Upon checking in, it completely exceeded our expectations! Through the large glass windows, the Potala Palace was right there, incredibly stunning and breathtaking! My partner suffered severe altitude sickness, and the hotel even provided medical oxygen. The next day, I had a reservation to visit the Potala Palace, but my partner couldn't go due to the altitude sickness. It was also close to checkout time, but the hotel thoughtfully arranged another room for us and extended our checkout by two hours, allowing us to perfectly complete our Lhasa trip! The service at this hotel is excellent, and the location is fantastic. If I have the chance to come to Lhasa again, I will definitely book this hotel!

The environment, facilities, services, and location are great ～～ You can see the blue sky and white clouds when you open your eyes. There are menus of various restaurants in the inn, which can be delivered directly to the inn. Can you also be hungry? It will be delivered to the garden on the second floor. The rooms are clean and tidy, including the public areas. The inn has an elevator. After the check-in, the boss will still help to send the luggage to the room. It is a 5-minute walk from the Princess Wencheng to watch the show and a 10-minute drive to the Potala Palace. Recommend! recommend!

Overall, this hotel is quite good. Its location is very close to the Potala Palace, just a short walk away. It's also not far from Barkhor Street. Parking can be a bit challenging, requiring good driving skills. However, the security guard who directs parking is very nice. The service staff are quite enthusiastic. The breakfast offers a wide variety of choices and was the best hotel breakfast I had during my time in Tibet. I didn't experience the afternoon tea because we arrived at 7 PM. Free oxygen is available, and they even ask for your arrival time in advance and turn on the oxygen machine an hour or two before you get there. The rooms are equipped with a small tea table, which is convenient for tea drinking. In the hallway, there are various tea sets in a disinfected cabinet for guests to use. We also received some complimentary snacks in the room, which were quite good. I didn't get to experience the sleep aid package. All in all, if you're not driving in Lhasa and want to stay downtown, this hotel is a good choice.

During my stay at the Shangri-La Hotel in Lhasa, I met a true guardian who brightened my trip with his sincerity and professionalism – our butler, Robert Xiang Hongwei. With every proactive greeting and meticulous action, he transformed the phrase “feeling at home” into a heartwarming reality. The best service is when guests forget they are being “served.” With Robert, I witnessed the pinnacle of hotel service: not making guests feel deliberately “cared for,” but rather, through natural kindness, having every need met silently. His every initiative, every “Okay, I’ll arrange it for you right away,” conveyed the same message: Here, you don't have to be a “guest,” just be “yourself.” The Shangri-La Hotel shines because of employees like him, and the industry is warmed by professionals like him. May this subtle light illuminate the journeys of more people, making every arrival a reunion worth looking forward to. I will definitely choose Shangri-La Hotel again for my next stay!

Since our rental car couldn't be dropped off at the airport, we urgently contacted the hotel for an airport pick-up before our flight. To our surprise, it was a Lexus! The driver was already waiting for us at the airport and warmly presented us with a Hada (a traditional ******* scarf). The hotel itself has a very distinct ******* character, and you can see mountain views from across the street. Our room number was also super charming! They provide medical-grade Yuyue oxygen concentrators, which were very effective in alleviating altitude sickness on our first day. After a good night's sleep, my headache was gone the next morning. Breakfast was plentiful, featuring ******* noodles, sweet tea, yak butter tea, and tsampa. The staff patiently taught our child how to prepare them. There were also quite a few foreign guests staying at the hotel. I highly recommend it! Additionally, there's a Northeast Chinese restaurant (now converted into a bar) nearby that's very authentic; we ended up eating there two nights in a row.

I have to give this hotel a big thumbs up! As soon as I entered the room, I was pleasantly surprised by how spotless everything was – every corner was immaculate, and the bedding was fresh and clean. The hygiene was truly impeccable. The bed was huge, and the room even came with oxygen equipment, making for a very comfortable stay. The front desk staff were incredibly sweet and helpful. When I experienced altitude sickness, a staff member thoughtfully brought me anti-altitude sickness tea, which was a very kind gesture. I'll definitely be back!

I rarely leave reviews, but this time I absolutely have to. We booked three rooms for a two-night stay. First, I'd like to thank the InterContinental for upgrading one of our rooms to an executive room. However, this is, without a doubt, the worst InterContinental I've ever stayed at. Firstly, on our check-in day, we informed the front desk that we had an elderly guest who needed an oxygen concentrator. That machine rattled and clanked all night, making it impossible to sleep. The next day, when we asked if we could get a different oxygen tank, the butler actually told us that the hotel had no other equipment, essentially implying, 'Just deal with it.' On top of that, on the first night, there were people arguing loudly in the hallway, and not once did any hotel staff intervene. Secondly, on the second day, around 9:15 AM, I specifically called the front desk to ask for a light cleaning of the room. The front desk even asked if we wanted the sheets changed, and we said no. Yet, when we returned to the hotel around 6 PM, the room hadn't been cleaned. I called the front desk again and had to urge them three times before a staff member finally came knocking on our door, sluggishly. Upon entering, they complained, saying we had told them not to clean the room. I'd like to ask when and where the staff member ever saw anyone from our room, and who said not to clean the room? Is this how five-star hotel staff are trained – to complain to guests and get scolded by the front desk? Is this the InterContinental's service standard? On the second day, during checkout, I went to the front desk to ask for a bag to put some small items in. The front desk initially said, 'Go get it yourself from the concierge.' I just want to know, it's at least 60 meters from the front desk to the concierge; are guests supposed to go retrieve it themselves? I asked if it could be delivered to the front desk, and the staff said it would take a long time, and I should wait in my room. The result? I never got the bag even by checkout time. I ended up carrying a metal box out the main entrance, and the front desk staff didn't even offer an apology. I just want to ask, does this kind of service meet your standards? Which five-star hotel provides service like this? I really shouldn't try to save money next time. I'll stick to Shangri-La, honestly.

1. This is by far the best value, most comfortable, and tastiest hotel in Lhasa. I first stayed here during the Keriya Pass trip and was so impressed that I've returned every time since, and have even recommended it to friends. 2. The service is consistently excellent, the rooms are spacious, and they provide oxygen, humidifiers, and ample heating. The parking lot is also large. 3. The breakfast is incredibly diverse and genuinely delicious – it's got that authentic wok-hei flavor! It's far superior to many five-star hotels that offer variety but lack taste. They even provide convenient individual bread portions for takeaway. 4. I didn't have time to eat fruit at breakfast, so a lovely front desk attendant kindly packed a small box for me. So thoughtful! The fruit was sweet and fresh, and the quality was excellent. 5. Because of this Lhasa hotel, I now only consider staying at Pingcuo Kangsang hotels whenever I'm in Tibet. I truly recommend it!

I chose this hotel because I had an early morning flight the next day; it's about a 10-minute drive from the airport. The rooms are container-style, and the soundproofing isn't great. They're also too small for a family of three, but fine for a one-night stay. As for the scenery, the views of the Yarlung Tsangpo River and the starry sky are absolutely stunning. It would definitely be beautiful in spring with the peach blossoms.
