Wow..the AMARIS Hotel really surprised us. It was the cheapest of 5 Hotels of our Trip to Manado and surrounding and surprised us the most. It is perfect located in the ”Kawasan Megamas”, close to restaurants, shops (unfortunately the second biggest Mall - MEGAMALL was closed due to a fire damage), the seaside and meeting points for the people of Manado to enjoy the evening. In the same building (just aut the main entrance and around the right corner) is a supermarket for all important needs and fantastic Cappuccino (for only 15.000 Rp.) The building is very new, the rooms and bathes are spotless clean. There is a small pool with a great fiew over Manado bay towards Manado Tua and Bunaken. The breakfast selection is sufficient ...but most important: every offered dish tastes fantastic and in many aspects it was better there than in many ”Star”-hotels with bigger choice but boring food. And they also had an egg station for fresh eggs and a kettle of ”Bubur Manado” (or: Tinutuan.) a must try. The Staff was friendly and efficient. Allthough there was no water kettle in the room there was a hot/cold water dispenser on each floor. Any disadvantages? O.k.: It is important to consider that the rooms are very small. Especially for two long distance travellers with big bagpacks. But for some days it´s o.k.. But: The bed is comfortable, the TV offers youtube and the aircon works perfectly. One issue for weekends...directly beside th hotel is a big place. When we were there there were concerts on two evenings - so it can be a little loud (but in all kawasan Megamas) on weekends or special events. All in all: Currently the best value for money in Kawasan Megamas and a good place to have all the comfort of a hotel within the city before continuing rto beach-, mountain- or jungle hotels. The resort is close to the left of the Blue and Blue Strait. The location is often good for divers, but the resort is very biased. There is no restaurant convenience store. There is another diving resort Yos next door. There is a small fishing village across the road. The store, the goods are incomplete (the shelf life is worrying), The price is still expensive, it is recommended to buy enough snacks and drinks in the convenience store before coming. The overall condition of the room is OK, the air-conditioning refrigerator is available, but there is no window, in fact, there is no window, the shower condition is very good, 24 hours hot water, the temperature is stable. The restaurant in the resort tastes good, because the resort is opened by the Singaporean owner, so the cook should be trained. But the price of the dish is not cheap, and an additional payment totals 21% of the consumer service tax. 95% of the divers who choose to play here are divers who play in the water. After checking in, they said that they need to dive. The front desk will tell the diving center about the needs. The private dive guide will take you to the diving center. The service is very thoughtful. The key is that almost all the dive guides will find small things. Everyone is a micro-dive guide. The diving price is equivalent to rmb350 one dive during the day, 500 one dive at night, and600-700 one dive in Black Water. An additional payment is required for a total of 21% consumption service tax. However, diving fees for more than 2 days are 20% off, and tax and equipment rental fees are not discounted. It is recommended that IDR and credit card pay, never pay in US dollars, the exchange rate is extremely unfriendly, I pay in US dollars, and I lose the exchange rate difference equivalent to RMB 1500. The big injustice is me 😭. In general, diving in blue and blue is expensive, but expensive is not to go back and forth to the city and blue every day, people are not tired, and microbiome is rich.

The accommodation was really nice and beautifully decorated, with a lovely private area on the balcony. The location was perfect – we could reach many places quickly with a rented bike, and renting one nearby was easy. The receptionists were very friendly and helpful. The bed was really comfortable, and the air conditioning worked great, making the stay even more enjoyable. There were a few small things, like no soap, only one towel for two people, and the water getting cold quickly, but these were just minor details. Once we mentioned them to the reception, they were quickly resolved. Overall, it was a great stay, the price was absolutely fair, and I would definitely come back. Thank you for everything!

I would definitely return to such a peaceful and magical place. We spontaneously booked a morning trek through Tangkoko National Park, which was actually quite affordable, and we were able to see all the animals we had hoped for. The people there are very kind and helpful – thank you for this wonderful experience! The rooms were great, clean, and everything was perfect. However, we decided to eat out since the food options were limited and quite expensive. Nevertheless, it was an amazing experience overall, and we would have loved to stay longer. We would definitely recommend this hotel!

A great place to stay if early departure. The hotel is not new but everything is in good condition. If early departure, they give breakfast with them. The room is not big but the room is enough. There is hot water. WiFi is working stable not all the places of the hotel. Welcome bag of tea and coffee. No tea, in the hall of the cooler. Only water was given a little warm. No refrigerator. There is an elevator. There are plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby.

The service was good, facilities were okay, everything was fine, and it's highly likely I'll return in the future.

Hotel is clean. Location is convenient, in the center, next to a large Moll. Breakfasts are simple but saturated. Rooms are tired. Recommended for stopping

Room smelled like smoke, building smelled really bad. No shower, just a bucket for a water supply at the wall. A lot of ants, otherwise it seemed clean. Sheets were clean, just a few holes.

Very natural coconut wood bungalows. The two rooms are adjacent to each other, forming a terrace with tables and chairs, which can be shared. The short family vacation is really fun. The air is very clean. The hotel facilities are very complete. There is a water heater. The superior room does not have a refrigerator. Quiet and pleasant atmosphere. Recommend a leisure hotel.

The first room is teiple bed and we have a problem with the room being too hot. But they move us to bigger room with better AC. Thanks
