Hotel znajduje się w centrum starożytnego miasta, co dodatkowo potęguje jego wspaniałą atmosferę. Budynki hotelu są bardzo stare, ale w fantastycznym stanie (jakby wybudowane wczoraj). Już sam spacer do pokoju przez wiejski dziedziniec to niesamowite uczucie. Cały personel biegle władał językiem angielskim, był niezwykle gościnny i hojny. Sam pokój był bardzo przestronny i niesamowicie czysty. Wyposażony we wszystkie niezbędne udogodnienia, takie jak ogrzewanie i klimatyzacja, ekskluzywny router Wi-Fi. W łazience były dodatkowe buty, a nawet suszarka do włosów. Dostaliśmy świeże szczoteczki i pastę do zębów. Wanna również jest niesamowita, a deszczownica ma świetną temperaturę (co jest dla mnie ważne, ponieważ nie lubię bawić się mieszaczem wody). Jeśli planujesz pobyt w Pingyao (starożytnym mieście), mogę szczerze polecić to miejsce i na pewno zarezerwuję je ponownie podczas mojej następnej podróży do Pingyao.”

„Overall good stay. Staff are polite and helpful. Clean, super big room with a swing and projector TV. Perhaps for my 2 young kids under 8. 2 big bed. Allow late check out on our last day, plus point. Washer and dryer just outside our room. Breakfast was excellant but have to walk 10 mins- in minus 3 degree 😆 Didi drop off is 200m walk away. Its ok. Room drain choke on 2nd day but they fix it fast (someone off the basement suction pump). Highly recommended.”

The mini-bar in the room is refilled daily, so I practically didn't buy any bottled water outside during my stay; the hotel supplies were more than enough. If I wanted ice water, the robot would bring ice up. The front desk staff were all very warm and thoughtful. I'm totally impressed and will definitely choose this hotel again for my next trip!”

Chciałbym zwrócić uwagę na to, że na dziedzińcu jest wiele schodów ze względu na historyczny charakter budynku, przez co trudno jest dźwigać duże walizki. Dodatkowo, od 10:30 do 23:00 odbywają się sesje fotograficzne. Sugeruję zarezerwować cichą salę w głębi budynku. Poza tym jestem zadowolony z obsługi, a zajazd jest piękny.”

„We loved our stay in Taiyuan and this was probably the best overall hotel of our trip! If you can't find it in the alley simply walk into the most beautiful entrance. The interior designer must have been happy as well, lots of nice artwork and style, very nice room, comfy bed, great breakfast buffet. Perfect location yet quiet, in the old centre full of shops and restaurants, buzzy nightlife, don't miss the 'Paris Baguette' in the same alley! By the way, to get to the wonderful Jinci Temple we simply took the subway to Xiqiao and then a Didi.”

HHuotouyuA wonderful inn nestled in a tranquil location amidst the bustle of the city. From the initial pick-up and parking arrangements to the final departure, there was not a single unpleasant experience; they were incredibly attentive, helpful, and meticulous. The inn is elegant, clean, and tidy. The staff are friendly, patient, and responsive. The aroma of freshly baked bread fills the air daily, and the Chinese and Western breakfasts are cooked to order. While the variety isn't extensive, every bite is satisfying, especially the bowl of beef noodles, which is incredibly good! The room's simple and elegant decor perfectly reflects the ancient city's style. No matter how exhausted you are from exploring, returning to the courtyard provides a truly relaxing and tranquil experience. Overall, it was a truly wonderful two-day stay. I'd especially like to thank Ms. Dong Yanxia (I think that's her name) for her patient, meticulous, and attentive service, which has left me and my family with wonderful memories of this holiday!

Let me focus on the most unpleasant service experience this time. We booked a family room, which included three breakfasts. Our child had an upset stomach the night before and was throwing up and had diarrhea all night. So, in the morning, only the two adults went to eat, thinking of getting a takeaway box for the child. This is where the unpleasant experience began. The person in black, who seemed to be a supervisor at the restaurant, said that if we had already started dining, takeaway boxes wouldn't be provided (at this point, we thought we only had two breakfasts included). Later, after checking the order, we confirmed that the family room included three breakfasts. We went back to the restaurant reception to ask for a takeaway box, clarifying upfront that our room included three breakfasts and that we wanted to pack something because our child was unwell. Even then, the front desk staff said that after 6:30 AM, it's recommended to dine in, and takeaway boxes are generally not provided. She also claimed it was busy and she couldn't authorize it (even though there were no guests waiting at the front desk at that time) and that only the supervisor could approve it. I had to wait for her to call the supervisor over again before I finally got a takeaway box. Throughout this entire process, both of them had cold faces and showed absolutely no service意识 (service awareness). This definitely deserves a negative review!!!

AAnna X. P.This hotel was the best one we stayed at during our trip to China (Taiyuan/Xi'an/Beijing), even though the hotels in the other two cities were also very good and unique. The hotel is designed in the style of a traditional Shanxi compound, which is incredibly distinctive. It features multiple courtyards, each with its own unique ambiance, making it perfect for photos. The hotel offers a free 'young lady' (少奶奶) / Hanfu dress-up experience. We didn't pay for additional makeup and styling, but still took many great photos around the hotel ourselves. The hotel's location is also superb. It's just a 2-minute walk to Food Street and Liuxiang Pedestrian Street, a paradise for foodies and shoppers. The former Governor's Mansion and Jinshang Museum are also within walking distance. Despite being so close to the hustle and bustle, the hotel itself is situated on a quiet alley, completely undisturbed by the outside noise. The breakfast offered by the hotel was something we looked forward to every morning, eager to go and eat. It was a thoughtfully prepared, nutritious breakfast, very rich, and excellent in color, aroma, and taste. Enjoying complimentary afternoon tea in the courtyard; free self-service laundry... the hotel truly offers a comprehensive range of services. Most notably, their service stands out – every staff member is friendly and dedicated. Next time I visit Taiyuan, I will definitely stay there again.

GGuest UserI've been to Datong twice, and this time I stayed in a guesthouse in the ancient city, which was a truly different experience. First off, the service was impeccable, far superior to any star-rated hotel. From booking to check-in and check-out, the staff's service-oriented mindset was excellent and incredibly thoughtful. Next, the decor: it's anything but the cookie-cutter style you find in hotels. From the lobby to the rooms, everything is unique and distinctive, I'd say it's an Italian style. The bedding and amenities in the room are all branded, and there's plenty of hot water. Breakfast is a nine-grid affair, and the sliced noodles were delicious. The coffee at the front desk was also good. They even offer free try-ons for travel photography outfits. Overall, the experience was fantastic and really changed my perception of guesthouses. I'll definitely come back to experience it again if I get the chance!

VValarie474A Sanctuary When I Needed It Most I arrived in Taiyuan not feeling well and ended up staying seven nights without ever leaving the room. Labor Day holiday, full DND stretches, just me and delivery apps. And honestly? It was exactly what I needed, and this hotel made it possible. Let me start with the moment that defined this stay. My housekeeper came in most days to refresh the room, and each time I'd ask for the same drinks. After a few days he just knew -- knew what I wanted, knew I wasn't feeling well. He'd heard me coughing while he cleaned and was clearly paying attention. On my last day, when I had DND up and didn't want any service at all, he quietly left a bag of my favorite drinks outside the door anyway. No knock, no disruption. Just a person who had been paying attention all week and wanted to take care of me. That kind of warmth doesn't come from a training manual. I won't forget it. The room itself held up beautifully for a long stationary stay. Clean, accurate to the photos, well-appointed. Floor-to-ceiling windows, two bathrooms, excellent shower pressure, generous storage, a proper tea set, and a beverage bar housekeeping kept replenished without being asked. The slippers were genuinely excellent -- better than some five-star properties I've stayed at. For seven nights of recovery during a national holiday, this hotel and its people delivered everything that mattered.

TTaniaThe hotel has very spacious and comfortable rooms. The breakfast is only Chinese, but rich and plentiful. We can't comment on the location because we always took taxis to the attractions around Datong (the wooden pagoda, hanging monasteries, and the Yungang Grottoes), but right next to the hotel are plenty of restaurants and places to grab a quick bite. The staff seemed helpful, but no one spoke English, so we had to use a translation app, which wasn't always accurate, and communication was somewhat hampered.

GGuest UserThe location is absolutely fantastic, right in the heart of the ancient city. For dining: Xi Jin Dao is downstairs, Fenglin Pavilion is a 10-minute walk, and Long Juxiang offers delivery directly to your phone. Every time we took a taxi back to the inn, we'd get off at Huayan Hotel and walk two minutes. The popular Heshengcai is a 10-minute walk (though the taste was just so-so, and none of the pastries even had an ingredient list). For sights: Huayan Temple is a 5-minute walk. I visited Shanhua Temple at night, which was about a 15-minute walk. During the May Day holiday, there were only about 10 people in the entire temple at night, so we could enjoy a peaceful visit. On the way back and forth, we also saw the city wall's light show and passed through a lantern festival. Rumeng Datong (Dreams of Datong) was also within walking distance. Service was great too. On our last day, we had to leave for the train station at 7:30 AM, and the owner even packed breakfast for us. The lamb offal soup with vermicelli every morning was delicious. The furniture is all elm wood. The loft family room was perfect for our family of three. The only downsides were that the room rate was expensive during May Day, and the bathroom design was a bit impractical.
