Outstanding stay. The staff was absolutely lovely and extremely attentive. I dropped off my luggage on the first day, and it was placed directly in my room before I even returned to the hotel. The hotel was impeccably clean, I was upgraded, the room was very comfortable, and the location couldn’t have been better—right next to the main transportation hub and close to the city center.

This is one of my best experience, the location is a little far from center of city but that is middle of jungle with beautiful animals 😍

Zatrzymałem się w hotelu Miyako Hotel Kyoto Hachijo, a lokalizacja jest zdecydowanie jego atutem. Zarówno dworzec kolejowy w Kioto, jak i centrum handlowe AEON Mall znajdują się w bardzo krótkiej odległości, co ułatwia poruszanie się i robienie zakupów. Z mojego pokoju mogłem nawet zobaczyć centrum handlowe AEON Mall, co było miłym bonusem. Jednak pokój i wyposażenie wydawały się dość stare, mimo że były dobrze utrzymane i bardzo czyste. Oświetlenie w pokoju było słabe, co nadawało mu nieco przestarzały charakter. Zameldowanie odbywało się za pomocą maszyny samoobsługowej, a dodatkowo pobierano podatek za zakwaterowanie w wysokości 400 JPY od osoby. Obsługa była w porządku, ale brakowało jej ciepła i przyjazności, których oczekiwałbym od czterogwiazdkowego hotelu. Ogólnie rzecz biorąc, czułem, że cena nie do końca odpowiadała jakości i wyszedłem trochę rozczarowany, pomimo świetnej lokalizacji. Jeśli szukasz bardziej nowoczesnej opcji, polecam rozważyć inny hotel bardzo blisko dworca kolejowego w Kioto, który oferuje niższą cenę, ale nowsze udogodnienia.

Large hotel located in a very convenient location close to train stations and shopping centres. There are two breakfast options in which you can choose to eat at a diversified buffet or a set menu in an observation deck on the 14th floor. The hotel itself is a bit old but renovated inside. Overall, it's very luxurious for the price but the bedding were not too comfortable. Free shuttle departs every 20 minutes between Kyoto station and the hotel. Super convenient for shopping at the station or transferring large luggages. Water and ice filler locations are available on each floor. The gym cost extra to use. Luggage delivery is possible within the hotel as well (cash only).

The reception staff were not as friendly here and seemed quite short with you when you ask for assistance. The bed was very comfortable and the hotel beautiful but for a room with a king size bed there was no full length mirror in the bedroom and I could barely open my suitcase as there wasn’t much floor space. It felt more like a single room than a king size.

The staff were friendly and helpful. Clean and good facilities as well. There were free beverages at the lobby. Location wise not the most convenient to some of the attractions as i had to walk an average of 10 to 15min to get to the train station.

Mama & Papa are the kindest hosts ever! They made the trip in Japan so much worthwhile! It is one of the best hostels I've stayed in mostly because of Mama & Papa! They really make you feel at home, and you get to experience the whole Japanese culture :)). Lovely! Definitely recommend and will for sure stay with them again when I'm in Kyoto! Strategic location, right opposite to Kyoto Station and next to Kyoto Tower. Staff is friendly and polite, especially the cleaning staff. Room is spacious however there is centralized air conditioner. It was very stuffy and warm at around 25°-27° in the room. Window is allowed to open bu have to bear with the street noise.

Located at the prime area of Kyoto where the restaurants and bars are at. Rows of full bloom Sakuras along the canal just outside the premises. Shopping and Lawson / 7-Eleven are stone-throw away. A great location for couple. And yes, I got proposed here! (Explains the wedding band photo)

Hotel location wise a 10 min walk to Shi-jyo the high street of Kyoto and a 20 min walk to Kyoto Station. It is on Karasuma a major N-S street in Kyoto chess-board like -city plan, with metro stations and bus stops within walking distance and easy to get around to tourists sights. The hotel has a big dining area for breakfast and the staff attentive and helpful. The room is clean and provided with pyjamas instead of Japanese yukata. There is a bicycle rental shop Sunshine, 5 min walk away. Major road in Shij-jyo has strict hours where bicycle is not to enter
