Hotele Beach w: Kedah, Malaysia

The hotel is located on a private island, which was a fun experience as we had to take the free shuttle boat provided by the hotel to get in and out. The boats ran frequently. One evening, even though it wasn't shuttle time, they arranged a special boat just for me to go back to the hotel and rest. I booked a one-bedroom suite, but the hotel upgraded me to a two-bedroom suite. Both were over 100 square meters, but the extra room added more functionality, which was perfect for us as we just wanted to relax at the hotel. The three of us had a wonderful rest. There's a private beach, though the sand isn't very fine, and the sea in Langkawi generally isn't the clearest. Breakfast was hit or miss; sometimes good, sometimes not so good. Compared to another hotel we stayed at, we were very satisfied here. We were the only three Chinese guests at the hotel. The front desk staff had a strong English accent, but my child's English is good, so it wasn't an issue for us. The swimming pool water wasn't crystal clear; it was a bit murky. The service in Malaysia felt very straightforward, without much smiling, which might be a cultural thing. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel.

Facilities: While not a brand-new hotel, it boasts its own nature reserve ambiance. All rooms are individual wooden bungalows, offering different mountain and ocean views! The rooms are spacious! The balcony is very comfortable! Hygiene: The cleaning was excellent and very thorough! Environment: As soon as you enter, it feels like a giant natural garden combining forest and ocean. You can spot dusky leaf monkeys and hornbills everywhere, truly a wonderful ecosystem! There's no need to go out to see any other attractions when you're here! The pool is also very comfortable, not crowded, and the drinks at the pool bar are delicious! Service: Excellent! I received a birthday surprise, a handwritten blessing, a birthday cake, and an upgrade to a sea-view wooden chalet. The hotel is truly thoughtful and generous. They wished me a happy birthday during check-in, and the room was decorated with a little surprise! It feels like the hotel genuinely cares about guests' special occasions, even though I hadn't requested any of these in advance! So, I was very touched!

Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with all the amenities needed for a relaxing stay. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our visit, and the swimming pool area was a great place to unwind. The resort is also conveniently located close to the airport while still feeling quiet and secluded. Breakfast offered a good variety of options, and the overall atmosphere was calm and relaxing. The only minor downside was that some areas of the property could benefit from a little updating, but this did not affect our overall experience. We would happily recommend Ombak Villa Langkawi to anyone looking for a comfortable and affordable stay in Langkawi.

Had a really wonderful stay at Holiday Villa Resort & Beachclub Langkawi 😍 The resort is perfect for both family vacations and couples looking for a relaxing getaway. The atmosphere is peaceful, private, and away from the crowded areas, yet still conveniently close to Pantai Cenang

The amenities were great,( i didnt try, but they look nice), nice infinity pool, located at the beach side. Breakfast area was nice, great deaogn, food variation was okay. I get to enjoy a nice sunset at the beach. The downside is the cleanliness of the room. The room smells of cigarette, so I asked for room freshener. They came and sprayed, but the smell still linger. I didnt say anything since I was quite tired. The floor was not vacuum, I can feel the sand on the floor when I stepped into the room, there are a lot at the room entrance. I had to wear slipper everytime. The space near the toilet was a bit cleaner, but still can feel the sand. It is not comfortable to pray. The WC was dirty, got yellowish stain at the bowl. The check in experience was not really smooth for me. I arrived at 1pm, asking if I can check in early, and they said the room was not ready, so I understand. I waited for 40 minutes, but it was still not ready. Then I went out for work, came back at 6.30 pm, but the check in was still not ready, and I need to wait for a while to get my room card even though they said that a room was assigned, I thought they have checked in for me, but no, they asked for my ID again. I left my luggage earlier, and they just left it in the open. The window locked was broken, even when I try to close, it opened by itself, no wonder I can hear the loud music and animal sound (like a bird or something, its loud and i can here it throughout my stay) I only realized that the window opened itself in the morning because the lock was broken, no wonder the aircond was not cold. I didnt realize because i didnt open the curtain till the next morning. Overall experience was not so good with the room, I was tired and upset with the room cleanliness. Apart from the ambience and the pool area, I dont think the hotel is up to 4-star standard in terms of cleanliness and hospitality.

My stay at frangipani was better than what I expected. The resorts location is ideal for island vacation, perfect blend of untouched beach and resorts ecosystem is extraordinary. The staff is very helpful, polite and attentive. I found my room was very clean plus house keeping was to the point. The swimming pools are maintained well. All in all I would say its a perfect place to stay for couples and families. I would come back here again.

I blindly chose this hotel and stayed for 5 consecutive days, ready to just relax. Overall, I'm quite satisfied. The hotel is located by the sea and near the mountains, about a 30-minute drive from Cenang Beach, making it relatively quiet. If you need to go out, taking a taxi is very convenient. The hotel has several swimming pools, which are great for kids. My child didn't want to leave the pool once they got in, and you can order drinks right by the poolside, which is very handy. The breakfast variety changes a bit, and the eggs + pancakes pictured were delicious – the sauce was definitely the highlight. The staff were all quite friendly and greeted me warmly whenever we met.

Waking up each morning to the sight of calm blue waters and lush green surroundings was incredibly peaceful and helped me disconnect from the stress of daily life. The room itself was spacious, clean, and well-maintained, with all the modern amenities needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was very cozy, ensuring a good night’s sleep after a long day of exploring. One of the highlights of my stay was the infinity pool, which overlooked the ocean and created a breathtaking atmosphere, especially during sunset. I spent hours there just relaxing and enjoying the scenic beauty. The resort also had a variety of dining options, and the food was delicious, offering both local Malaysian flavors and international cuisine. Every meal felt special, with fresh ingredients and great presentation. Another thing I appreciated was the peaceful environment of the resort. It was not overly crowded, which allowed me to enjoy quiet moments and truly unwind. The location was also convenient for visiting nearby attractions, making it easy to explore the island while still having a calm place to return to. Overall, my stay at Resorts World Langkawi was an unforgettable experience filled with comfort, relaxation, and beautiful memories. We had an amazing stay at the resort in a connecting room. From the moment we arrived we had a wonderful welcome which continued throughout our stay by all the friendly and attentive staff. The buggy service taking us to our room and around the resort when we needed was a bonus. Breakfast selection was huge and varied. The resort is a short walk away from a bustling street for food and shopping. The beach is clean and calm. At night, the resort looks dreamy with the lighting. Granted, some things could do with a little attention such as a need for air con in the bathrooms as they get very hot and stuffy, however nothing was enough to ruin or holiday. We last visited 25 years ago for out honeymoon and did not regret coming back with our older children. We would definitely choose to stay here again if we return :)

This hotel was just a place to crash; we were out all day anyway, so we didn't expect much. The location is excellent, right in town. Across the street, there's a duty-free chocolate shop, and plenty of food options within a few blocks. It's also beachfront, so you can catch the sunrise. We booked a suite, which was spacious, but the facilities were quite outdated. The hot water was intermittent, and it seemed like there was no hot water at all late at night! I left my swim trunks in the room and called customer service to ask about them. I figured if they found them, I'd just take a taxi back from Berjaya to pick them up. The first time I called, a man answered and said he'd look for them. When I called again, a woman answered. I'm not sure if she didn't understand English or what, but she just mumbled and rambled for a while before abruptly hanging up on me. Since I was short on time, I just gave up and bought new ones. The breakfast was mediocre, with limited choices. Just enough to grab a bite. The gym is tiny and the equipment is old, but nobody supervises it, and hardly anyone uses it. You just swipe your card to enter, so it's practically 24 hours. It was sufficient for my workout needs. The infinity pool has a nice view, and my kids loved it. There were a lot of Indian people diving and having 'doggy paddle' races, making the pool quite chaotic, and nobody seemed to be managing it. The Indian 'doggy paddle' is hilarious; it's not the first time I've seen it, I've seen it countless times now! I even wonder if it's some kind of Indian national art form? The key thing is, this stroke is exhausting and inefficient, yet they all seem to enjoy it immensely 😂
