„Hotel is close to the beach and staff are helpful but the carpet feels dirty on my feet and there were some yellow spatter marks on the walls in the bathroom. The AC had a hard time getting below 24 so I definitely woke up sweating a few times but they came and looked at it the second day and it was slightly better down to 22. The view and room were nice I appreciated the sofa/ living area but the couch did have several stains. The hotel bar /cafe didn’t have many food options but drinks were pretty good. Breakfast was good and had many options.”

„I recently stayed at the Venice Waterworld Hotel in Shijiazhuang and, unfortunately, it did not meet my expectations. The hotel feels quite outdated and in need of renovation. The rooms were dark and old, with furnishings that seemed worn and tired. One of the biggest issues was the air conditioning—it was old and lacked a proper thermostat, making it difficult to regulate the temperature. Additionally, smoking is permitted throughout the hotel, which was a major downside for me as a non-smoker. The smell of tobacco was pervasive in the hallways and common areas, making the stay less comfortable. Breakfast lacked food for its guests. They were not being topped up according to the people who were in the restaurant. While the location may be convenient for some, the overall condition and policies of the hotel make it a poor choice for travelers who prefer clean, modern, and smoke-free accommodations. If I return to Shijiazhuang, I will definitely look for a different hotel. Rating: ★★☆☆☆ (2/5) – Below Average, Needs Improvement”

„An attractive hotel in a former imperial complex (a library or something like that) offering large, clean rooms. It's up on the side of a hill but taxis/rideshare will take you to the front door. Also it's very close to the town center and is a short ride to the temples that are of interest in Chengde. They have a decent breakfast at the onsite restaurant, and a dinner service featuring local dishes that are supposed to be similar to what an emperor might have eaten. So you can dine like an emperor, for a fee. The large deer roaming the grounds stare at your with the big, sad eyes, obviously looking for a handout, but don't fall for it as there's plenty of grass. There was some construction going on, seems the buildings are being refurbished, but it did not really interfere with our stay. Signs in English and English-speaking staff at the front desk.”

„You know how hotels always say they’re excellent? Yeah, this one actually is. The location? Perfect. The service? Spot-on. The breakfast buffet? Let’s just say I had three plates and started considering moving in. They’ve got laundry rooms (so you don’t have to do that weird sink-scrubbing thing), shuttles that actually show up, and staff who somehow stay cheerful before noon. „Everting is good ,1st time I came into China as a Muslim business man, I found this hotel have HALAL food options in a breakfast as well, location near to all my required factories. RRockcatzxdWe traveled during the off-season for a three-day, two-night stay, and the entire experience was delightful. Nanshanli is located at the very end of the town, but there's a shuttle bus to town every 20 minutes, which gets you there in just a few minutes – very convenient. There are also free shuttle buses to and from the high-speed train station, offering a door-to-door service, which is incredibly handy. The hotel environment is excellent. We had a garden-view room, and we could see the deer below from our balcony. We stayed in building C, but it was very easy to get to building D as you could walk between them indoors. The hot springs are fantastic; there's a large indoor one and three smaller outdoor ones, all very relaxing. Our child absolutely loved the 'Hi-sen Squad' (Kids' Club) at the hotel, playing there for two consecutive days. The rock climbing and high-ropes course were quite challenging. All the staff we encountered were incredibly patient, earning a big thumbs up from us. Our child particularly liked the 'Hi-sen Squad' young man with glasses. The buffet breakfast offered a wide variety and tasted great. Our whole family was very satisfied with this trip! 👍 There were also so many recent flowers and butterflies in Thaiwoo, it was beautiful!

GGuest UserHad a fantastic stay! The hotel staff were all incredibly professional and had excellent attitudes. The room was spotless and very tidy. The hotel breakfast was also delicious and offered a wide variety. There's a Chinese restaurant on the second floor where you can grab lunch and dinner. The hotel's location is superb, very close to the Mountain Resort and other attractions. Right next to the hotel is a famous night market with a rich assortment of stalls. The restaurants nearby are also very comprehensive, offering a chance to try Chengde's local specialties.

MMeiyouruguo1992This was my second stay at the hotel. Wulingshan Aranya has added a lighthouse park and a mountain-view restaurant, making it great for families with kids. Right behind the hotel, there's another restaurant and a grassy play area. For breakfast, you can choose from different options. We stayed two nights, so we tried Xiaoye's Japanese breakfast once and Shiwei Shangu's Chinese breakfast once, both of which were quite good. The complimentary public hot spring was also a nice touch, and it wasn't crowded, so the experience was pleasant. My only minor complaints are that the hotel's shuttle service is infrequent, leading to long waits during peak hours, and the staff's attitude wasn't as warm as during my previous visit. Also, we had to specifically ask for the raindrop cake and matcha experience, which wasn't offered as enthusiastically as before.

DDouruheziEnvironment: The room's balcony faces the Thaiwoo ski slopes, and waking up to that view every day is incredibly therapeutic. The hotel is only a 2-3 minute walk from the ski rental hall, which is quite convenient for ski enthusiasts. However, it would be even better if there was an internal passage leading directly there. Cleanliness: This is a pet-friendly hotel, yet the cleanliness was still excellent. There were no strange odors, and everything was spotless, with the exception of slightly low water pressure in the shower. Service: The service was exceptional. The front desk staff were always accommodating and went above and beyond to help with any requests. When checking in, guests receive complimentary movie or hot spring tickets, and the front desk is happy to assist with reservations. Facilities: The hotel has a few on-site restaurants, which are perfect if the weather is too cold to venture out – they meet all basic needs. Personally, I think it would be even more convenient if the hotel had its own hot springs or more public facilities in the lobby.

GGuest UserDuring the past few days in Zhangjiakou, the most unforgettable thing is not the passion of the track, but the emotion brought by the front desk. My family sent a box of sports drinks before I left. I made sure to make sure it was delivered on the day of the game. The result was that I, a road ******, filled in the wrong district address. The courier was sorting from the south of the city to a novice post office in the north of the city. Just after the race ended at 4 p.m., the logistics information showed that ”the post office is already at the post office,” but we had to leave for the next city at 5 p.m, and looked at the postoffice address 10 kilometers away on the map, stamping our feet in a hurry. When she heard this, Ms. Park comforted me by saying, ”Don't worry, I'll find a way,” grabbing the keys to her electric car and running out. She returned 20 minutes later, sweating and panting, saying, ”The sorting officers had the wrong zoning area. I went halfway through the warehouse with them to find it!” She thought she could get it now, but she frowned again and said, ”The box is too big to fit in the electric car basket. I'm afraid it will be broken on the road. I'll run around and pack it in the trunk again!” Before I could react, she turned and rushed down the stairs again - the second time she saw her, she had a sweat scarf on her arm, With her hands tightly wrapped around the trunk, even her work shirt was soaked with sweat, but she smiled and said, ”I just borrowed a shock absorber from the post office, and none of the drinks damaged.” When she tore open the packaging, she also purposely put a note on the trunk: ”Remember to replenish electrolytes after the game!” At that moment, I suddenly felt that although the wind of Zhangjiakou was cool with the grassland, but the box of drinks and the smile of my little sister, the trophy of the race course was more heart-warming. TTimLimBad check in service at front counter lady. Seems more occupied with her task than guest service. I have to call and request for our sofa bed to be open. Given we book and indicated a family of 4, unlike other hotels whom immediately arrange all additional required items such as toothbrushs, slippers, towels, water, etc. Here I have to call to request for each items. The wifi doesn't work. I have to physically bring my laptop to the front desk for assistance.. and even that was not able to connect. Breakfast, average as the food are abit hard - hard noodles, hotdogs, breads.. Only cons is location near to ski and restaurants but so are a few hotels nearby. Free scheduled public bus shuttle to/fro train station, have to walk about 7 mins to the bus stop. As a Hyatt member, this is the worse Hyatt Place hotels I stayed. I believe surrounding hotels will have better guest services and competitive price too.

SStannaThe location is good on the first line from the sea. The whole resort is divided into several hotels, and it was a surprise for us. This hotel building is right side if you facing the sea. We booked a room with a sea view, but its main part was a pool roof. The pool, which you can visit for free while staying in this hotel, is too small, shallow, and overcrowded by kids from the city. The room is small. The bedding was clean, and all amenities were OK. Breakfast in the other building is not too bad, but it is necessary to come early because dishes are not addressed. The price of the proposed room and service is too high.

GGuest UserTaiwoo really stepped up their game this year! They've added a dedicated hotel lounge on the second floor of the 4-chair lift equipment hall, plus there's the 'Little Donkey Paradise' and the 'Mini Donkey' near the 4-chair lift. Free parking and discounted ski passes make it perfect for family trips (as long as it's not too windy!). I always book either Pasture Hotel or Xue Lu Ju; the rooms are practically identical. The living room is great if you want to bring a hot pot for a cozy meal, and both hotels have hot springs – amazing! This time, I booked a two-bedroom unit, which was very spacious. The only downsides were that one of the shower drains was completely clogged, forcing me to rush through a five-minute shower with water pooling around my feet. Also, one sink didn't have a soap dish, and the water was a bit cloudy. The room wasn't very warm overall; we had to rely on both the AC and heater. Even with a humidifier running, it was incredibly dry, but that seems to be a common issue in Chongli, and there's no real solution for it. Overall, I'd recommend it for families with kids.
