The service was fantastic. The room was nicely cleaned and the amenities provided were sufficient. The transport, a buggy, was convenient and easy to navigate around. The surrounding attractions and food were easily accessible from where this hotel and was splendid too. We had a comfortable stay and would recommend other to try this hotel.

Great place, I am happy I stayed there :)  Well designed and very very well located.  Gubei Water village however was very hard to access, I wasn’t aware there was only two buses a day running from Beijing and it was a bit of a nightmare to arrive. Had I known, I wouldn’t have come. But the hotel is great! And their soy milk is delicious.

Odpowiadał na nasze potrzeby w odpowiednim czasie, pokój był ciepły i wygodny, a szczegóły zostały starannie przemyślane, co sprawiło, że poczułam ciepło domu. Wybiorę to miejsce ponownie następnym razem!

Pokój był jak powrót do przeszłości! Lokalizacja była dobra, a ludzie bardzo przyjaźni i pomocni! A zwłaszcza, gdy musieli nas przenieść w środku nocy z powodu ryzyka powodzi... 😊 Gorąco polecam to miejsce każdemu!

Our experience has been excellent. My girlfriend fractured her ankle while skiing. The hotel staff were attentive and offered all the assistance we needed during the stay. We were Singaporean and hence needed help to make some arrangements with the Beijing airport and airline. The hotel staff stayed with us throughout to resolve some of the barriers we faced, such as language and making local calls. Another great amenities were delivery services where you could just order food from ******* and the hotel will deliver it to your room using a robot. Room was clean and huge with windows. Air conditioning and heater were working well. Shower water pressure was great. Location was good if you planned to ski in Nanshan ski resort. It's about 10_15mins by car or didi. Overall, it is a hotel I strongly recommend and will surely come back if I'm in Miyun.

The location was easy to find. It was quieter since it is situated a little away from the activities at the base. However it is at the entrance of the Great Wall tram gate, so very convenient for an early start, or an evening tour of the Wall. My stay was midweek over Christmas and the whole town was relatively quiet. This meant the Hot Springs were also quiet which was spectacular! The rooms were a little chilly at night, but a soak in the springs and a little peach blossom wine solved it. I highly recommend this Inn. They were happy to use their translation apps to answer any questions.

A luxury boutique hotel in Gubei Watertown - highly recommended! Hotel:  A themed hotel conveniently located in the heart of Gubei Watertown. The hotel is tastefully decorated with all the amenities you’d expect of a 5-star hotel and offers much more.  The rooms are HUGE, clean, and well equipped.  Our reservation was for two rooms (Room #s 220 and 221):  a Deluxe Balcony Room A with a king bed (76 sq meter with a stunning view of the Great Wall) and Superior Twin Room A with balcony (55 sq meter with a view of the hotel courtyard).   We were assigned rooms next to each other so we could be close to our elderly parents.   Our rooms were separately packaged with complimentary hot spring entrance tickets, Chinese/Western set meal (tried the Chinese meal at the Flavor Restaurant 望景楼 which was excellent-see photos), boat rides, and Simatai Great Wall tour tickets with round trip cable car rides.  We throughly enjoyed our time in Gubei Watertown and this hotel definitely made our stay special. Service:  Absolutely the best!  From front desk reception (all the young ladies and 张建成), housekeeping, to the hotel concierge; everyone was helpful, informative, professional, and warm. A special shout out to Jeff (尚明杰), without whom we would not be able to reserve a vehicle to Chengde after our stay.  Jeff spent hours working with our old phone that just did not communicate with the Chinese payment system, to a point he even used his personal phone to make sure our transportation was confirmed. During our 3-day stay, we received top notch service and we are truly grateful to every staff member at the hotel for taking great care of us. We absolutely loved the breakfast and the hotel’s Chinese restaurant is also highly recommended. Gubei Watertown is beautiful late October for its autumn foliage.  Weather was nice, just perfect for walking and exploring by foot.  We couldn’t have chosen a more perfect place to stay for our visit than the William Edgar Hotel.

My overall experience during this stay was excellent. The hotel's location is superb, making it very convenient for getting around, and there are plenty of dining and shopping options nearby. The room was clean and tidy, with great attention to detail regarding hygiene. The bedding was soft and comfortable, and the soundproofing was excellent, ensuring a quiet night's rest. The bathroom had plenty of hot water, and the facilities were well-maintained. The internet connection was fast and smooth. The front desk staff were warm, professional, and efficient with check-in and check-out. They were also very responsive and attentive to any requests. The hotel offers great value for money, making it suitable for both business trips and leisure travel. I will definitely prioritize this hotel again on my next visit and highly recommend it to everyone.

This is the most unique experience we had from staying in a hotel! This hotel is actually part of a buddhist temple aka a pagoda. And located at the quiet side of Gubei water town, apart from the loud music and shows at Gubei, which makes it the perfect place to stay. To reach the hotel, we entered the gate and welcomed by peaceful praying songs played from the speakers. Then we walked the stairs up to the temple with altars and stuff. People are actually using it for praying. Next to the temple is the receptionist. We were greeted warmly, given a nice ginger drink which is perfect for this winter day (it was -2C at night here in Gubei!). Then we were accompanied to the room. The room itself is spacious, clean and modern. It has AC and TV. The window from our room shows the beautiful Simatai great wall, which is a very nice addition to our stay. All the amenities are great and very thoughtful. The vibes were also quiet and serene, love our 2 nights stay and will come back for sure if we ever visited Gubei in the future!

Great hotel. Kind staff! Beautiful views and nature! My you want to take a break from the noise and enjoy the sounds of nature, it's a great place. Warm water, everything works! 🙏🏻🫶
