Chongzuo LUX Resort – An Unmatched Experience If you go to Chongzuo, and price is not a barrier, the LUX Resort is the only one worth considering—offering the best views, service, food, and amenities in the region. From the moment you arrive, it is clear that this resort sets itself apart through thoughtful design, exceptional hospitality, and a deep respect for both nature and guests. We stayed in rooms 1301 and 1302, both king-size bed rooms with what I believe are among the best views in the entire resort. Waking up to the dramatic karst landscape and tranquil surroundings was unforgettable, and the rooms themselves were spacious, elegant, and perfectly maintained. The dining experience was outstanding, both at breakfast and dinner. Breakfast featured a high-quality buffet with premium ingredients and a wide variety of options, while dinner from the à la carte menu was equally impressive in execution and flavor. Special recognition must go to the service staff—凌海艳、农汶燕、邓桂姣—whose attentiveness, warmth, and professionalism elevated every meal. Their service was genuinely memorable. On our first evening, Chef Long (龙大厨) personally came out to greet us, which was a wonderful and thoughtful touch. One dish in particular stood out: the handmade tofu pot. Using such a simple ingredient, the dish was surprisingly delicate, tender, and deeply flavorful—an excellent example of how great technique can transform humble ingredients into something exceptional. The spa and relaxation experience was equally seamless. 农丽芳, from the spa service team near the common relaxation area, thoughtfully arranged a battery car service for us, making transitions around the resort smooth and effortless. Overall, the LUX Chongzuo Resort delivers excellence on every level—accommodation, views, cuisine, service, and amenities. It is not just a place to stay, but a destination in itself. If you are seeking the best Chongzuo has to offer, LUX is truly in a class of its own.

Amazing stay at Yunlu. Amazing service from the wonderful staff. Extremely quiet location. Beautiful scenery around. Great breakfast (no buffet). Large rooms with great views. Even a small pool (more for children). I cannot say enough good things about the amazing service that the staff provided. Joyous staff. Good feelings. Not much English spoken (well basically none as is usual in China based on my experience) but with the help of the various apps and a positive attitude this is practically not a real issue. It can even be fun. Anyway they fulfilled all my requests and more than that (incl. for the breakfast as I suffer from diabetes) and always made sure I was happy and enjoying my stay. The rooms I had (2 stays) were very large. The air conditioning was very efficient and silent. The views were so enjoyable (yes out there in Mingshi there are better views of course but still). The large bed was very comfortable. Big sofa, tables, chairs ... and a lot of space. Nice bathroom with good shower. A fridge was available and included some ”free” drinks. I found the location perfect as it is not in the village itself but on the other side of the little river. So it is very quiet. A very short drive to the village and even walking requires no more than 30 minutes. Restaurants are only available in the village and bike rentals are way cheaper in the village too. I would certainly not recommend the local shop close to the hotel for rentals as the deals proposed are absurd (well prices the owner articulated were simply exorbitant). I will definitely return to Mingshi as I loved the region and there is so much to discover. I will quite certainly look no further than the Yunlu. Location. Peacefulness. But above all because of the extraordinary customer friendly attitude and the good spirit of the ”team”.

The best thing about this place are the owners. Full of initiative and kindness, I am very appreciative of their initiative services. For example, they asked if I already had transportation for my next destination, then how much I was quoted. Then they said that was a fair price if it was right to the hotel, to just check and verify if it is so. This is a very helpful guidance for out-of-towners. The room is clean, and after 4 days of travel in the area, it is the only one that doesn't have any lingering smells of cigarette smoke. It is hard to find rooms like these, including rooms that claim to be smoke-free. The view from the room is great and it is nice to watch the birds fly over the border river. Birds are not constrained by fences. Bottles of water are provided, as are disposable towels, which I'm not a fan of, as well as soap, shampoo and so on. There is no separation of wet/dry areas, but slippers are provided. You may not get the best photos in such a homestay, but it is functional and practical, and everything works well, drainage and so on, which is more important. I would stay here again and I would recommend this place in a heartbeat.

1. Amazing hospitality. The hotel owner, Shaowei was there to help us in every possible way. She brought us to see the panoramic view of Mingshi Tianyuan with her own expenses. She also took us to another place to watch native people’s dance, sing and bonfire after dinner. She also helped me to catch a local bus to another town. Her kindness was simply beyond my expectations. If I come back to Mingshi, the reason will be not the town itself, but Shaowei. 2. Flawless cleanness Everything looked to be built just now. Clean, comfortable and tidy. No smell of cigarette or whatsoever. 3. Decent breakfast Breakfast is simple but the taste is good. You can enjoy rice noodle, rice porridge and fruits with good tea and soy milk. 4. Great location The hotel is located close to the bus station and you can get on any local bus passing by easily. Good restaurants are everywhere nearby as well. Thank you so much for all the help and care. I really wish to meet you again.

Wonderful hotel. My room had an unblocked view of the mountains and paid fields. 7th floor rooftop has a pool and very nice views. Service was excellent. The room was very clean. Breakfast was Chinese style breakfast which suited our taste. You can rent an e bike from the front of the hotel cheaply and ride around the area. Or if you prefer you could also ride the free bicycles provided by the hotel.

Love at first sight. The view from our rooms was beautiful. The rooms were tastefully furnished. The beds were very comfortable. Clean sheets and towels. Modern amenities. The automatic toilet bowl was amazing. I wished I had one at home in Malaysia. We enjoyed the breakfasts. I am good with the healthy options and free flow of soy milk. I suggest using the ceramic bowl for the hot soy milk instead of the plastic bowls provided. Do bring your own hot water flask. Hot water dispenser available.We had all our meals in the hotel. The food was delicious. Do try the free range chicken with mushroom soup. Very comforting. Our morning walk in the village was lovely. Plenty of vegetable farms. Mr. Wei, the manager was very attentive and friendly. He offered to ferry us to Detian waterfalls for a fee as there were no taxi or e-hailing. Overall, we had a pleasant and wonderful two day stay. Highly recommended. PS. Do close the two small windows behind the curtains for better noise insulation.

Location of hotel is very convenient for travelers who take the tourist bus from either Chungzuo, Nanning or from Detian waterfalls scenic area. The room we booked had a nice view of the fields and karst mountains. What a beautiful sight to behold indeed. During the day, it can get noisy with all the comings and goings in the village and all around but at night, it was very quiet. The rooftop terrace was very nice and not busy when we were there. Breakfast was enjoyable with steamed buns, corn, soup noodles and boiled sweet potatoes- a healthy start for a very busy day. The very nice lady in charge of breakfast offered us breakfast on our check in day (we arrived at 10:30) and made sure we had enough to eat before sending us off to explore! We had never met a B&B operator who was so caring and generous. On our check out day, even though she was still busy with guests, she rushed out to bid us a fond farewell and a safe onward trip. Front desk and cleaning team were all very friendly, always smiling and helpful. All in all, a very warm and pleasant stay at Mingshi Scenic Area.

Everything was nice and clean and the breakfast actually had some more “international” food compared to other local hotels. We didn’t understand why you cannot enter the pool area, which is apparently from “another hotel” according to the staff. Not clear since the pictures show the pool in this hotel when you book. But overall we had a very nice stay and the area/nature around the hotel is stunning.

The area is beautiful. The tent and tent area are very nice. My kids loved it! The receptionist Li Lin 李霖 and the rest of the team are very nice and helpful. Beds are comfortable. The pillow was too high for me, but my husband didn’t complain. If you are light and sound sensitive when sleeping, then bring earplugs and sleeping eye mask, because is a tent, of course. The tent I booked was very comfortable in size for two adults and two kids. It had two queen beds and one single bed. There is tv and amenities (shampoo&Co, toothbrush, shaving kit, hair dryer). Breakfast was Chinese style buffet, which we are happy with. The restaurant belongs to another hotel in the same area (there are several hotels in that park). You can order bbq set. Nice quality meat and veggies. I would recommend this camping area for any family with kids. There is a playground area as well and is nice to walk through the trees.

The hotel is a little far from Chongzuo but you can hire a Didi for about 380RMB from the chongzuo train station. The hotel is located in a beautiful park where you can take a walk and see the 100 doors (I think it was called) and walk all the way to the border post 3. It's was surreal. Across the river you can see Vietnamese house and people. we waved. a drone showed up we left. To go to the waterfall we walked from the hotel to the tourist center. About a 45 minute walk. Not bad once you get there. The hotel is old and starting to show the tear. You can tell it was once great but no renovations have been made in forever. The carpet had stains on it. not tiny ones. The little mini balcony was dusty. The bed was big but on the hard side. The towels are frazzling it was unbelievable. The breakfast , if you are not full on on Chinese breakfast its a no no. AND no coffee EVEN though the COFFEE MACHINE looked like it had just been plugged off. sign sating being fixed. come on .It's a 4 diamond rating but it felt more like 2. It's also smaller than it links in the video and pics. There's an awesome restaurant at the entrance on the right. It made a whole lotta difference. Highly reccomend eating here. And we did!Twice. Food was not bad. definitely order the ribs. The staff is nice especially the restaurant lady. Would I stay again? NO
